Relocating to Indiana

Published

Hello all, I'm currently working in Illinois (southwest suburb of Chicago) I'm looking to relocate to Northwest Indiana this summer and am looking for some idea on what nursing salaries are compared to where I'm at now. If I will be taking a huge paycut it may be worth the commute. Any help is much appreciated.

What are you making now if you don't mind me asking? I'm from Indiana and I can tell you I started at $23 and ended at $30 this was at a hospital in Michigan city indiAna

Currently my base rate is 36/hr but get a shift differential because I work nights. I have been at the hospital I work at now for 2.5 years now.

If you work nights you might as well commute. I did from Indiana to the old Michael Reese on nights for years and it wasn't too bad. Easier than moving anyhow!
