Where did you actually train would be my first question as not all are required to do this bridge program. Depends on the country of training, and not where one is living now.

The program that you are speaking of is approximately six months in length and is completed in conjunction with a school of nursing there. If one completes the program satisfactorily and passes the required English exams, then they are able to go for licensure there as an RN.

There is already much on these programs that can be found on this forum, recommend that you just do a search for the specifics for it as well as contact numbers.

Then they are requiring that you complete the six month bridging program that they have in place.

You can find out all about it by doing a search on this forum, much written on it.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks again

Have you tried doing a search for Bridge in the forum or the Australian forum as I am positive there are plenty of threads and remember one member giving an excellent post on their experience on information they obtain for the Bridge program in Australia

Sorry, but there are bridging programs for Canada that are required for some, as welll as some for Australia.

The ones for Australia last approximately 6 months.

We have many here for both countries, you just need to use the search engine that we have here to find them.

Dear gops

Check this link also very useful for Western Australian Midwifery Registration Bridging course for Overseas Trained Midwives

http://www.nursing.health.wa.gov.au/docs/MW%20BP%20OTN%20Information%20Sheet.pdf

:chuckle:chuckle

The op asked for the basic bridging program and never mentioned anything about being a licensed midwife.

Please respond to the question that was asked, it makes it easier for others to follow here.

The poster already has the link that they needed, not sure why these others are being posted here.
