What stethoscope would you recommend I buy for the nursing program?
I know Littman is always recommended, but in searching online there are several styles and Im not sure which one to go for.
Thank you! :bowingpur

Littman is usually considered top of the line. I'm not sure what your financial situation is, but if you don't have a lot of money to play with, I would say that you don't need a Littman for nursing school. There are plenty of other good stethoscopes out there that you can use and are much more inexpensive. But, once your done with school and working as an RN, you should be able to afford a nice Littman...That's just my opinion. I'm sure some will say you need the best you can get for nursing school.

I am using GRX medical and I do not complain; moreover, I think these are really good stethoscopes.

I bought a Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscope in nursing school and it's the stethoscope I continue to use now as a RN. I have no problems listening to heart, lung, bowel sounds for a typical assessment. I found that Steele's had good prices online and they gave me good service. Also, you have a lot of choices for tubing colors with this one, so if you order something loud like orange or peach your stethoscope really stands out if you happen to leave it somewhere.
Thank you! I ended up buying this Littman Classic II.
My aunt is a breast cancer survivor, so I went with the pink. They give a $5 donation when you buy that one :)
I also bought a matching ID tag to have engraved with my name incase I misplace it. :)
