Ready to Go Back to school: NEED HELP!!

I could be wrong but I think all online nursing schools do not accept students, that hold licenses, in certain states (e.g. NC) unless the school is in that said state. But I heard a way to get around that is to get a license in another state nearby and you may have to do clinical in that state. I'm not 100% sure about this but I have heard this from a few people. Look into it...hope this helps.

GW has a good Adult/Geri program. Also, go to your State's BON page and see what programs the Board have credentialed/approved for in-State students.

University of South Carolina will accept students from Louisiana. However...1)there are campus visits. Not sure if this is something you're willing/able to afford to do, but you must come for an orientation and then be available for campus visits in every clinical semester. And 2) they don't have an AG primary care program. Your options would be AG acute care or FNP.

I know that MUSC has an AG primary care program. They also have on-campus visits and an orientation you have to attend. I'm not sure if they will take LA students. I'm assuming so, if USC will(if I'm not mistaken, schools usually can't because of issues with state boards and licensure). I only know USC will because I know students from LA that attend.

I'm looking at Grand Canyon University there is a one day on campus required in Arizona. Not sure if they do Louisiana but check!!!

University of South Alabama has that program, and does accept Louisiana residents. I do believe they only require one on-campus visit during the program.
