Good day Ms. Suzanne! Ma'am, just wanna ask.. I already passed the NCLEX last Jan 2. The state where I applied my license is in Illinois. I'm planning to work in New York. A friend of mine told me to apply reciprocity thru the net. As I surf now, I haven't seen any reciprocity column in here. Pls help..

I recommend reading Suzanne's "Primer" Sticky above. Thanks.

You need to CVS and as recommended read the stickies above

There is no such thing as reciprocity, it just does not exist. You will need to apply for License by Endorsement but pkease be aware that NY requires the CVS and that will take you months to get done. And I mean months, the earliest is about four months, and on average about eight months.

The other issue is that if your goal is to work in a hospital there, you are not going to find one to petition you right now...........just is not happening.

The only options are nursing homes or agencies that I do not trust that operate out of there.
