Re entry RN after 4 years

Have been an RN since 2000 and still have an active Multi State RN License.  I reside in Greensboro NC.  My experience is ID, Telemetry, ED for 9 years and recovery Cardiac Cath lab.  I have not worked in 4 years  because of Retirement sick loved ones and now I want to return to at least part time RN.  I am unsure of how to make myself marketable again.  Can someone please offer advise/experience?  Thank you

You have a ton of experience and an active license, I think it more what they can offer you.  I wouldn't take a job unless it is the hours you want and the unit where you want to work.  You have the power. There are new grads hired every day with zero experience.  Unless you had some issue with your license or got fired from your last job I do not see how you would not get a job.  You are already highly marketable.

Four years out with ED, telemetry, and cath lab recovery experience is honestly a strong hand to come back with — those skills don't just disappear. A refresher course might help with confidence more than anything else, but hospitals dealing with staffing shortages aren't exactly in a position to be picky. Starting with per diem or a structured re-entry program lets you ease back in without jumping straight into a full schedule.
