I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any US hospitals that offer re-entry programs for RN's who have not been working, to return to bedside nursing? I know up here in Canada, you can take a College program, but someone I know is after a hospital based program. I have seen that some hospitals in the US offer this (ie. Columbus, OH).
Does anyone know of any others? Thanks!

I knnow that, in my state, the monthly newsletter from the state BON has, in the past, sometimes includes information about approved "refresher course" programs (where and when they were being offered). Perhaps the BON in the state your friend wants to be licensed could provide information.

Hey,
Go to http://www.medhunters.com which is a huge healthcare professional recruiting website with impressive amounts of information. Look for the page that deals with people who haven't worked in the profession for a while and it actually lists some programs in the US that offer re-entry pathways. Check 'em out.
Thanks for the response! She's not interested in any state, in particular, but I'll let her know to do some looking in the newsletters.

I didn't know medhunters had that info. Thanks for filling me in! I'm going to tell her to check it out ASAP. I appreciate the link. :)
