3RD TIME AROUND:(

Published

Hi, Everyone...I failed the NCLEX PN twice now. I graduated back in January 2016. My time is ticking so I know I need to get my self together and PASS this test. I don't know why things are not clicking when testing. I feel like crying every time I think of this test and how I'm still am not the nurse I deserve to be. I need some pointers and suggestions on which programs I should get for review. I'm hoping to test within a couple months or so. PLEASE HELP!!!

How did you study? What helped me was Uworld and the app NCLEX mastery. I must have answered questions all day, every day and reviewed the ones I would get wrong. Don't give up! If you were able to pass school, you can pass this test!

learn the content. Read to understand the rationales

How are your critical thinking skills? Are you over analyzing the question and going back and forth on each question? The answer is usually your first guess. I did a whole bunch of practice ATI test.

I used an NCLEX-PN test review book. I studied that thing front to back every week & did every question in it. I also did tons of online NCLEX-PN study bank questions (those helped a lot). My advice is do as many questions and answers as you can online, in your nursing books, etc. Good luck! I hope you pass next time!

I used Uworld and went through the entire bank of questions in the week before I took the test. I read all the rationales for the questions I got wrong and also for the questions I got right with an educated guess. It really helped me to get into the nclex mindset and learn the kind of answers the nclex people are looking for. If you are struggling with content, I recommend Hurst Review. However, it is less affordable than Uworld. Good luck, you can do this!

I suggest buying an NCLEX-PN review book and studying that front to back, board vitals is also nice for practice questions. Remember your ABCs when answering questions, airway answers are usually always right because you can't do anything else for a patient if they're dead. Also, keep safety in mind when answering, what's the safest scenario.
