Has anyone gone to Rasmussen University? I'm weighing my options on if this is the school I should continue attending or maybe look into a different school. :) honest options are valued like no other! Thanks you!

I would also like to know. Anyone from Rasmussen in NPR? Any current students or grads? Love to hear your input.

My sister n law went to Rasmussen in Florida for her RN and loved it. The downside was the cost. Very expensive but it's a good school.

It really depends on the campus you attend and what you put into it. I'm a current student and I get extremely frustrated at some things considering the price I'm paying. That said, I think all the trade schools are that way, at least to some extent. Our clinicals have been all over the map. Finally got into a hospital this quarter and its been great. Make sure you understand about the amount of work you need to do in an excellerated program, especially with the nursing grading scale. There is NO rounding and I've seen several people get bit and have to repeat a quarter.

I am at Rasmussen Tampa, graduating in September. I like the program for the most part. Most of the teachers are fantastic, the biggest problem we're having is getting decent clinical sites. However we did just get a contract with the new Florida Hospital in Wesley Chapel. It is expensive, but much less than Everest (I considered transferring, but the cost was staggering).
I didn't have 2 years to do pre-reqs and then another year or two on a wait list, which is why a private school works for me. I did a lot of research before starting here, and this was the best fit for me.
But do keep in mind, it is an accelerated program, I've seen people who are working and have really really struggled, some even having to repeat a course.

Thanks for all the post so far! I am also wondering about the College. I have two friends whom work with my husband for Pinellas County and they both enjoyed the college of course just not the amount of money it cost but in the end I believe it will all pay off. I am headed to the Land O Lakes information Seminar today and I hope to get loads of information and hope to see myself going there this coming October. I could only imagine what it is like to work full time and go to Nursing School full time. I have a full time job but once (Praying) I get into the nursing program I shall quit that to focus on school. My husband shall have to carry the family financially for a little while. Not to mention we have 3 children hahaha. I hope more people read this thread and give more input on the school its self. Thanks in advance of course!!

I will be attending Rasmussen in January. Expensive yes, but no wait list. All the community colleges in the area have a waiting list 5+ years.

I am attending rasmussen right now in illinois. I am in the professional nursing program. So far I love it. My classes are small and the instructors really want you to do well. I can sit for my boards when I graduate so im happy about that.
The land o lakes dean is no BS! if you are serious you will do well under her, she was at tampa when I started. I graduate in December and have passed the predictor test to graduate. Let us know what you decide!
