It's not easy but then going to school isn't. I would recommend at your age, going for a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, if at all possible. You would not regret it. Good luck!

thanks for the support blueyes.

AND what do you call the nurse assisting a plastic surgeon?and do they required an extra studying for that kind of job?

Surgical first assistants can be RNs, Physician's assistants, operating room techicians, for some examples.

If you want to be an RN and a surgical first-assist, certainly make the move to go to a 4 year university RN program, and then work toward specializing in surgery, and go from there.

If you are not interesting in nursing itself, you could always look into becoming a PA or even a doctor. You have a lot of time to decide. Try taking your basic classes, and some pre-nursing/pre-med classes and see what you like. Also won't hurt to shadow or interview medical professionals if possible, a variety of them. Doctors and nurses.

Good luck.

Hello my fellow nurses!I hope you can answer my question coz i it really bothers me.I am planning to take my NCLEX exam this january and my license will also expire this january. Can i still take the exam even if my license is already expired?

You probably need to post this in your own new thread for more answers.

I don't really understand your question - if you haven't taken NCLEX yet, what kind of license do you have?

a Philippine license only

I only hold a Philippine license. I don't understand how a schoolmate of mine was able to take the NCLEX-RN without passing first any English Proficiency exam.
