Question about mcc's admission process

U.S.A. Michigan

hey there! im new to the site ( great site by the way:D). for those who go to mcc i just got a question in regards to the admission program. ok, so i know they do the last 12 credits thing till next year, and that they use your HS gpa if you dont have enough. i have more than enough 12 creds and yet i still sent in my highschool transcripts, i was just wondering if anyone else did that. because im getting paranoid that they might use my HS transcripts instead of my college gpa (which is better)? it would really give me good relief if someone replies:bow:

they'll only use your current GPA, so don't sweat it ; ) i did the same thing.

They will use your college gpa. Stress over the hesi that is worth 50%. I picked up work books used to study for the meap. I ended up with a great score. I found the study guide to be too vague. GL

thank you guys soo much:up:, yeah ive been stressing about the hesi aswell, but i think its "doable":D.

It's important that everyone sends in their HS transcripts anyway. I have a friend that was denied admission because of not sending them in. She assumed her college ones were enough.

Don't stress about the HESI at all. It is simple reading/math/etc. Unless you have been out of school for a long time the study guide should be more than enough.

Good Luck.

That is prob true regarding the study guide for those who had high school not too long ago. i was returning after some 15 years. I had no idea how to divide fractions or disect a sentence into all its million parts. lol. If it has been a long time, the meap study guides are great.

Really? I asked 2 advisors about this just last week and they said if you have more than 12 credits in college your high school transcripts are not required and are not a factor what-so-ever.

oh ok thanks!!! yeah you can email it to me that would be great

I did not send my HS transcript and I got in. After you take the Hesi, turn in your app, you should receive a letter stating that they have everything needed. If you don't get something, then I would check.
