Question for Daytonite

Daytonite,

Are there any pathology/physiology reference books you would recommend for a student nurse? I have my pathology book, and my textbooks, but I am wondering if there is one book that you often find yourself reaching for--something that includes disease pathology as well as s+s and nursing interventions...

Thanks!

I'm not Daytonite but I have a book called Medical Surgical Nursing by Mosby's. It has a green cover. I got it at Borders and the book helped me a lot. It has things in that we needed to know for class that wasn't in our fundamentals book.

Pathophysiology: A 2-in-1 Reference for Nurses by Springhouse, Springhouse Publishing Company Staff. It costs $44.95. It not only has the pathophysiology, but signs and symptoms, causes and nursing considerations. It is organized by body system. The only thing that is a drawback is that it does not include any psych or maternity problems. It is strictly medical disease oriented.
