Check with your school. The ones I looked into had very specific application processes and deadlines. Some require you to take an exam before applying, so the sooner you find out, the better prepared you'll be when application time rolls around. Good luck to you!! :)

I just got accepted into nursing school and will be starting this fall. I would recommend finding out what the schools application process is. I have found that a 2 year school differs a lot from a 4 year school. In the 4 year schools you have to have a lot of classes completed BEFORE applying into the nursing school (Ex. anatomy, chem, psych, soc, micro, etc) It all depends on the school!

I would suggest making an appointment with a nursing advisor. (which is different in many schools than a traditional academic advisor) My school requires us to attend a 1.5 hour informatin session prior to making an advising appointment. The information session did answer some questions I had, but I'm hoping my advisor can make it all a little more clear for me. I'm just starting my pre-reqs, so I'm still feeling a little lost with everything.

PS- I went to the infomation session a month ago and signed up for someone to call me for an advising appointmet, but so did everyone else in the room that day. Since I hadn't heard from anyone, I went directly to the nursing office a couple days ago to find out when I might be able to get in- there was a list about 15 pages long with about 75 numbers per page of people wanting appointments! I thought for sure they were going to tell me it was a three month wait to see an advisor, but to my surprise they got me in on this comming Thursday. A part of me wonders if they don't call people back, but instead wait for you to follow up to see who is serious and who isn't. Just something to consider if you sign up for an appointment during a large info session......
