  2. I think today went by fast, but I cant wait to get out of orienation. I really have a hard time concentrating when we are sitting all day filling out worksheets and looking up stuff on the computer!!! Hopefully tomorrow will go fast too !
  3. Hey, I am looking through all of this stuff and have another question that maybe you guys can answer!? On my classroom orientation schedule in the top left (Shaded) it says orientation is in classroom a by the hoppe auditorium. then says (see back for directions), but my back page is blank...... do you guys happen to know where this is?? I am sure there are probably signs...but I would feel a lot better if I had some sort of idea as to where I was going! Thanks!!!!!:)
  4. Ookay I haven't been on here for awhile and now I feel completely lost...!!!!! How did you get your floor schedule already?! haha....did you call or something?? I figured we would get it on Monday.....so hopefully I will find out more then. I have no idea when my weekends are and it has been really hard to plan stuff for weddings/showers/etc! Also---I didn't get any letter in the mail about pay or anythign else.....!? Can either of you tell me a little more about this and if not post it maybe send a private message?? I got my name badge last week and yes it does feel great to see RN after your name!!!! We are finally getting to do what we have put so much hard work toward. I can't believe we start orientation already on Monday! 2 days! I am both very excited/nervous. I am not really familiar with st. cloud hospital at all or how they do anything on the floor so i am hoping to pick up on that stuff very fast.
  5. I called about the work schedule about a week or two ago and she didn't have it done yet because the July schedule wasn't ready. I am not sure if this is for everyone but she asked me if I would be willing to work 12 hr shifts most of the time during orientation (I was hired for 8s) and also that I may only work every 3rd weekend during orientation instead of every other, but I don't know any more than that. I asked Brandon in HR what we should wear to orientation too haha and he said business casual. I think I am going to stop there tomorrow to drop off some paperwork and if I find out anything new I will post it!
  6. :balloons: Congratulations!!! :balloons: Isn't it a wonderful feeling?!
  7. Hey thanks for the info! That is definitely good to know. I am going to be going through all of my stuff tomorrow and try to get all of the paperwork filled out, so maybe I will call and see if they have any updates? Thanks again!
  8. Can I ask in the packets you received to start (orientation schedule, benefits, etc) was there a unit orientation schedule in there? I have the classroom schedule, but not for the unit. Anyway I was just looking that over and thought about it. I was going to call but figured I will need to wait until Monday! Have a nice weekend!
  9. I will be starting on ortho/neuro in July also. I am very excited!! Although, it is going to be so nice to have these next few weeks to relax before going into the 'real world'! Nicole
  10. i am offically an rn (as of today! ) :balloons: i am going to be starting at st. cloud hospital. i like mn because this is where i grew up and all of my family lives here.
  11. good luck to everyone. just study, pray, and believe in yourself!!!!!!
  12. yes i would still have benefits, but it would be me paying more out of pocket to be covered since I would be considered only part time. I will try what you said with the other place and see what happens. However, it is somewhat hard because I have no specific contact person....only a nurse recruitment office that has forwarded on my info to the hospital I want to work at..
  13. Hey everyone- Just wanted some thoughts about this..... I graduate in 4 days. I have been looking for a job....had a few interviews. One I want really bad has been extremely slow on getting back to me either way. Anyway--I was offered a job this past week and will have to be getting back to them soon. the only problem i see is that it is part time.... only 48 hrs/pay period (so every 2 weeks). Do you think this is okay as a new grad?? I want to take the job and really like the place it is for, but I am just concerned about the hours. I will still have benefits....and I am sure I wouldn't have a problem picking up shifts??? Anyone's thoughts? or is anyone else in a situation similar to this?? Thanks!!
  14. Thanks so much! Yes you are right, the one is completed at 1500 or 3pm You guys were a big help...Thanks!! :wink2:
