PVT 2016

The PVT works! I've noticed that it is not a good indicator of if you failed (even if they took your money so don't lose hope if you get the "bad popup"), but it is a PERFECT indicator of if you passed. So, if you get the "good pop-up" then YOU PASSED!

A positive attitude always goes a very long way. :cat:

Im a murse with a murse who really hopes to get a job at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento but I would settle for something in Merced.

Best of luck!

I just want to say that I really found a sense of relief in the PVT over this weekend. It worked for me and I am proud to say that I am now an RN, BSN. It worked for myself and fellow classmate who took the exam with me on Friday.

Being impatient for finding our results is irrelevant to the real world of nursing. Sorry that the PVT may have upset you in the past but it worked for me and I am thankful for this thread and the people who support this thread in either direction that it works or that it doesn't. Either way, constructive feedback on this post is what people are looking for whether it is a success or failure and not just a place to complain.

I didn't use the PVT because it wasn't around 5 years ago & neither were computers.

I waited, did the quick results & lived.

Quick results arent available everywhere. I tested January 11th in Ca (no quick results) and Im still waiting for my official results. Going back to that whole evidence based practice thing that the profession of nursing is so high on, well the evidence suggests that the PVT works. And for those of us who are waiting 2-4 weeks instead of 48 hours, well, the PVT either relaxes the nerves or gets us back to the books.

Im planning on having a great day; I hope you have one too.

Just found out I PASSED via the quick results, so as far as my experience there was a positive correlation. I'm still not willing to put money on this as something that "works", and it certainly didn't give me piece of mind until I paid the $7.95.

Uhhh, she didn't do the PVT. She paid the $8 & got the quick results. [emoji85]

It was implied that she did it and got the good pop up when she said, "so as far as my experience there was a positive correlation."

But she still doesn't believe it works because it is just a trick. There might be positive correlation but that doesn't mean it works for everyone.

It is just a trick. I think if it helps people to calm down a bit after the test, even as a placebo type effect, then more power to them. I was wrecked all weekend with worry that somehow I'd made a mess of it.

It didn't help me feel any better, but if it does for other people, who am I to look down on them?
