Samuel Merritt University FNP online 2017
Hello! I am attending the program right now. So far, I think it is a great school. I feel like all of the instructors and staff have been more than supportive and kind. They are available 24/7. It's structured well for the most part and I think they provide a lot of help and direction to be a well prepared NP. Please let me know if you have any more questions

FNP Programs that accept new grads?
Simmons College and Samuel Merritt University don't have experience requirements. Both are great programs and they both are online, find preceptors for you and are highly reputable! When I was applying to FNP school and researching various schools, a most of them didn't have a minimum experience requirement. A lot of well known and reputable programs such as Vanderbilt , Georgetown, and Johns Hopkins don't have experience requirements either! Just try researching and see what works best for you!

New Grad RN programs in Arizona
Banner has an actual new grad program. It includes 3 months of intensive training both on the floor, various classes and in SIM labs with the group of new grads you start with. We also had to go through Critical Care Academy which added about 2 months extra training. I had over 100 Continuing Ed hours through all of this by the time I ht my 6 months. They train you extremely well and don't stick you in Med/Surg if you don't want. I and the rest of my new grad group all started in the Step Down Units, some even ICU. Dignity Health also has a new grad program. Although when applying it looks like you're applying to a specific job, they have a cohort of like 10-15 new grads that they train through their program all at once. Honor Health does as well however it is more personalized and 1 on 1 rather than as a group of people but you'll start at med surg there. I had 4 job offers with all of these companies so I was able to actually talk to them about their training process and new grad programs and what not. Mayo is obviously the best so if you can get in great but like you said its competitive and they look for people who want to stay there. Once people go there, they never leave. I think its great for a company to have that reputation but personally I would want to get experience everywhere and try new things! PCH is good too I hear but competitive because everyone wants to be a peds nurse LOL I do hear that they pay is actually really low first hand from a friend who just got a job there NOT as a new grad. Good luck in your search! If you have questions let me know! ( MY 4th job offer was though the county hospital new grad program right in the city which would have been a bad a** place to work but I psyched myself out and got scared by the Trauma 1 acuity and top burn unit in the country and so on. I have a friend who worked there and she saw everything under the sun which is a great place to learn. She loved it so I guess its just dependent on what you wanna do!)

New Grad RN programs in Arizona
Hey! If you look on the actual websites for these companies you can find their new grad programs and positions. I work for Banner and it was very easy to obtain a new grad position. I got the job on the day of my interview. Mayo is the best so if you can get in there TAKE IT! I would also look at Honor Health . All magnet hospitals and they have specific new grad job openings. Banner isn't a bad company but some of their hospitals are a challenging place to work. They have some great ones but some bad! I think I just got stuck with a bad one and am looking to transfer soon! The company itself is very friendly and accommodating to their employees. Also check out dignity health! I've heard great things about them too!!

Thank you so much for your feedback NurseTiaPCCN! Sorry for the late reply. I appreciate all the information you have told me! I just had a few more questions! How did you do the lab portion of class? I understand it is supposed to be online but do you have more information on that and how it was done? How did you learn how to do procedures such as suturing or health assessments ? Also in regards to clinicals, were you or your classmates able to do them in hospitals? Thank you very much!

Denver School of Nursing - January 2017
They arent lying when they say be available 7 days a week until 9 pm. I graduated early this year and my schedule was basically class for 4-5 days the first 2 quarters then when clinical started it was 2-3. The last quarter is all online and all clinical. The latest class I had ran until 7 one Day a week. The reason they say that is for clinical. They are extremely hard to find in Denver so take what you can get. You will get a good experience if you make the most out of it.

Denver School of Nursing--April 2017 Start
I graduated from DSN early this year. If you got an interview you are basically in. The interview is pretty much an orientation and you sign your letter of intent to attend. Congrats!

phoenix salary
I currently work for Banner as a new grad. We just got bumped to 27.40 an hour with almost 5 dollars night diff. I had 4 job offers as a new grad with Dignity, Maricopa, and Honor Health. I can say that both Dignity and Maricopa were 27. Honor Health was 28 but with 4-6 differentials with night shift. Banner by far does the best with training out of the 4. Im sure Mayo would be the best but I am not too familiar with their program. I was very happy with Banner's . I have almost 60 Continuing ed hours already 7 months into working there, 15 critical care certs, and 3 stroke certs. That is way more than what I can say for any other new grad in any other new grad program. Honor Health definitely pays the most. I have a couple friends at Childrens that say they love their jobs but were surprised to see that their pay wasnt that great. I dont know how much exactly but I know it is not on par with the other programs.

FNP - Simmons vs Frontier
I would choose Simmons because they help you find preceptors . I'd pay extra to not have the stress of finding myour own and risking delaying graduation
- What Online FNP Program did you choose?

Chances of being accepted into grad school
I think you have a great chance to get in! I am a new grad and only have about 7 months of experience and had no problem being admitted into a very good program. A lot of very well known and reputable programs such as Georgetown do not require experience, not just the diploma mill schools. I would definitely work part time at least through school if you can. I do believe having experience can help . Especially with assessment, clinical skills and learning how to talk to patients. Having at least a couple years under your belt after graduating will be good to have! I don't know how much research you've done on schools but my top 2 schools were Simmons and Samuel Merritt. They both don't require experience and have an amazing reputation and program. If it's really what you wanna do then go for it!!!
