I didn't have to do an in person interview but I'm not sure if that has to do with my qualifications but it seems like they didn't as long as your phone conversations are adequate. I would make sure you know what you're leaving before you make that decision to switch. I actually worked in a pharmacy for many years with the notion of pursuing pharmacy until I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like the work was too monotonous and I longed to be involved in much more. To me, I dread getting yelled at by patients and customers who have no idea what you do for them and most of the time, I didn't know what they went through before they came down to the pharmacy and got angry at wait times. I guess I chose nursing to be more part of that picture and expand my role later on. Sometimes the grass is just greener, sometimes its where you water it. I would say I had a few times where I thought "why did I get into nursing" and I share your hatred with careplans, but I see all the bumps in the road as a means to get where I want to be in the long run. My advice is to stick it through and see what nursing really has to offer. As far as being too late? No way, people go back to school at all ages. Goodluck with your decision.

Dont worry, they'll get to your official acceptance as it took them a week to send me mine. I think its Bc they have to set up your email account and student portal. Im glad you heard it's doable to work. I wonder if our course layout is any different. I chose the online program bc I'm living in Los Angeles. I've heard good things about SMU and I make norcal trips often so it works out best for me. Does your hybrid program set up clinical sites for you? Since mine is online, I believe we play a big part in doing it ourselves , or with limited help. I have a few friends and connections so I think I'll be ok, but it still worries me a bit. I'm so used to nursing school where you're told where to go. Maybe we can get a facebook group set up?

I just got the official acceptance today as well as login information. I'm scared of the organization as well as l will be starting the first online cohort. I wish I could pm you but I think we are too new to send private msgs. That's my start date as well. I believe she said the orientation for me is mid April but I would have a Video/personal kinda thing if I can't make it to campus. Do you plan to work while in this program?

Good question! As I have no idea. This is the first online completely cohort. I'm not sure how that part works. I was given an unofficial acceptance by the director of the program. I have a lot of questions and was hoping to connect with people on this forum. May I ask if your official acceptance was received in email or an actual letter in the mail? When does your cohort start ? Congrats !
