For those that got the acceptance call, we have a FB group- “Union University CRNA Class of 2023”. ?

Is there something that the current classes are doing to fight for the faculty? Who is above the dean that would be able to make that call? I’m sure all of the students as well as the incoming students will stand up for the faculty, they were a HUGE reason union was a top competitor. It’s really upsetting that this dean might break up such a good program. is there any hope for the faculty to even stay though? Or are they SET 100% on quitting, no matter what compromise the dean has?

@nurselati I think it went well, but don’t want to get my hopes up- I think everyone has a good feeling afterwards bc they are so nice. We shall see!

Got my rejection email yesterday. It’s all good though, this just wasn’t the school I’m meant to be at! Congratulations to everyone that got accepted and best of luck to you all!

@Grey Obregon I applied for the December deadline as well. Submitted my application late October! That I have understood invites for interviews will for out the second week of December. Wondering if the holidays will affect that timeline.

@TPN1986 and @CVICUisMyCasa, any tips for the interview? Union is my top choice. I submitted my application for the December deadline! Congrats to you both, sooo exciting!!

Was thinking about asking the same thing! I spoke to them last week and they said invitations would go out late November. I’m guessing later this week or next week! Trying hard not to obsess but it’s hard not to. Lol

Hi! just joining the group, I submitted my application last week for the second deadline. Stats: •Science GPA 4.0 •Last 60 hrs 3.7 •About to hit my 3 years of ICU experience •BLS/ACLS/PALS/CCRN/ENLS •48 hrs of shadowing •Charge and Preceptor experience Hoping to score an interview!! Went to the preview day and fell in love with the faculty it feels that they TRULY care about their students and want them to succeed. For me it was a plus that they incorporate faith into the program! Good luck to all the peeps that got an interview this first deadline. I will be praying for you all to do great!

No i have not. I called last week and they told me that they had names already but that mine was not on the list and that it was a short list so to not lose hope yet. It's been two weeks since the interview so I'm assuming they aren't calling back the HR lady said they would send out rejection letters when they've made the decision so to keep checking emails until then. Have you heard anything?

Hi everyone, I have been looking for people that have applied for the GN residency for UTSW starting in Feb 2017 and thought I would piggy back off this post since some of you have already been hired. I applied for the critical care track and got an interview which was this Tuesday. I think it went mostly well but I was very nervous throughout so idk if that messed me up. I so want this Job, UTSW seems like such a great hospital and I love that they really value their nurses. By any chance do any of y'all know how many graduate nurses they are hiring in ICU? Thanks in advance.
