  1. I agree...get out! You currently have two very important letters after your name that keep job hopping from being a big ordeal if you can explain your process when asked. Losing those two letters means you just may have to work at WalMart. Because I traveled, I have a resume that reads like a book, but most employers find it intrigueing. In fact, I just landed a job as Director of Patient Care Services for a large HH agency without previous management experience. My advice, be confident in yourself and your own skills and let everyone else worry about themselves. This may sound contradictory to my Christian values, but in health care, you have license to seek until you find what you like because there is this little thing called a shortage.
  2. Hello all...I just took a position as the Director of Patient Care Services for a home health chain with five regional offices that I will oversee. It's a daunting undertaking, but I'm up to the challenge. I've been an ER/ICU nurse for ten years with four years of travel experience and I have been part owner of two nurse staffing agencies in that time. I passed up an interview for CRNA school to take this position, so I certainly hope that this move will be everything I hope for. I'll keep you posted!
  3. I'm still completing my BSN before making application to CRNA school, but I believe the purpose for Physics is about learning gas laws. It was dropped as a prereq at the school I'm hoping to attend.
  4. I never got any of these things in school, but I get this one until the end...then it gets a bit obscure. I still get Lefty Loosey, Righty Tighty backwards...LOL!!
  5. Depending on the circumstances, I may attempt to diffuse the situation by finding out what was viewed as being done wrong or not done, make succinct apology, and appropriate corrective action...again depending on circumstances. Usually, there is no legitimate complaint, so instead of giving my name, I give them the name and direct office extension of the ER Director...God I love this job!!
  6. Wow...this could go on and on and on. As for kids with fevers...could you put another blanket on them? A personal favorite is the 2AM head injury (kid fell down from a standing position 3 hours earlier) and he's sleepy. Of course he is...it's 2AM. The stumped toe with...oh yeah...chest pain! Hope to add more to this thread later, but I'm actually in triage at the moment and have another scholar to triage. As for the rebuttals...work here a while...then we'll see!
