  2. Congrats!!! I knew you could do it. I ended with an A-
  3. I agree to disagree. Have a great day!!!
  4. I disagree humiliating someone in the way you have above is called bullying. If you can post something like that on a public forum you deserved to be called out in the same manner. I'll leave you with that as i agree to emphatically disagree with your methods.
  5. Awful disrespectful uncompassionate comment caliotter3 and Mariewong.
  6. I've been at this point where my anixety has been my worst enemy or t didnt have the appropriate study plan in place or at a loss regarding a better plan. I think kicking someone when they are feelind down isnt nice or encouraging. Perhaps advising on how to switch gears? I know the nursing program is supposed to be hard but people shouldnt be inhumane.
  7. Are you passing the quizlets after studying?
  8. Take a deep breathe. I promise you everything will be fine either way. But, I don't believe in regret or leaving anything on the table. So, lets figure out a way to give it all you've got. Can you outline your study methods? How many chapters are you tested on? how are you preparing? are you testing yourself after every session? More importantly - do you understand the material prior to studying?
  9. I just want to post an update. I just took 2 lab test yesterday which was intense and required me to memorize 30 slides inclusive of facial bones, pelvic girdle. tissue, joints, etc. Although, I haven't received my grade. I know I got a 100% on one test and 80% - 85% on the other due to fact I missed a slide. A comeback can be had. I will post official test results.
  10. I don't work for a hospital and am in the early stages of this process but to be fired for taking a call. I mean as an adult who will be trusted with sick patients recovery . We can't be trusted to know whether or not we can take a phone call. I'm so confused ..please educate me.
  11. We can do this ...I know you like myself do have time that isn't being utilized to study due to being tired. unfortunately, this is where discipline has to kick in and work despite the fatigue. In addition, go to tutoring.
  12. I'm in the same position. I got a 46 on my first test which occurred the week my grandmother died, full class load, full time job, and 15 month old baby. I know I can do this but am concerned about bouncing back. We can do this my plan is to study a few hours this weekend. Master the questions and learning objectives for each chapter by being able to explain and teach it. I bought a recommended study guide and am going to use quizlet.
  13. Sorry for so many post but you have one life to live. The hard part is done you're educated , soon to be licensed, and moving to state with a known shortage. I'm not sure what part you're going to but you will be fine. Try to contact travel nurse agencies as well. I know they generally want 1 years experience but again not many nurses in Alaska.

  16. I'm glad I read this post. I 've kind of admonished myself for not finishing school earlier but I'm such a better student now. You're right no regrets!!! The truth is I really enjoyed my 20's as well.
  17. My chem 121 class; organic -bio- and general chemistry was just like this and I had nightmares about it the first few weeks. I have to be honest. I went to tutoring on day 1 , practiced everything I understood that my professor went over at least 25 times, and if I left not understanding a topic... I hired a private tutor then practiced 35 times. Regarding things that need to be memorized; significant figures, physical/ chemical changes, conversions, rules regarding neutrons , protons, electrons, configurations, formulas condensed info on 1 sheet of paper front and back and review. Some items will be easy electronic valances , greek prefixes, shapes, etc.. items listed - most will be reviewed 1st quarter of semester then you'll transition into bio and organic chem. find Tyler Dewitt on YouTube - study until this becomes second nature. I ended up with a B but if I weren't so scared of the topic and had more confidence in my routine I would have had an A+. I lost my cool during one test and got all the hard problems gas volume problems right but was too burnt to properly balance equations and name formulas ...easy stuff...blanked out. The more you practice the more proficient you will be . I can't stress this enough but you have to study. 1. Understand the material - most important - go to tutoring 1st day of class if necessary, teachers hours, etc. 2. Practice 3. Get your mind right - its only a 16 week semester do all you can in a day , week, or weekend so that you have no regrets. No excuses do it. 4.Practice 5.Practice 6.Get an A+ that's the goal. Aim high. Lastly, I took this class with a newborn baby, newly married - bonus step child, and full time job fast paced NYC commercial real estate after not being in school for years. You can do this! Good Luck
