  1. Maybe you should rethink a different kind of nursing... I was NEVER cut out to be a floor nurse... My passion is surgery, so i've an operating room nurse for 20 years... Doctors are happier ( its their playground) patients are greatful ( its life or death) and family members greatful over you saved their love ones... you are only 25, give it time, look around for other kind of opportunities... I know lots of nurses, who left floor nursing to come to the OR.
  2. I have only on suggestion... Go back and read your entry... It's a story for "dear Abby" not all nurses.... Who gives a **** about your love life, really be real...
  3. Please, just hang in there, trust me it will get better.. I've been an OR nurse for 18 years, and are now training many new nurses... 1st.. Dont take anything personally. 2nd.. Take each case and each day at the time.. 3rd.. Stop being quiet, speak up and show no fear... 4th.. For each new precepter, learn something new from each, use each of their technique when you work with them., when you get on your own, take the best part from each and make it your own.. 5th... Remember, its ok to be nervous, its not ok to show it... last, but not least... Dont give up, you will over time work with new surgeons, and if you learn now, you will be a pro later.. I was once like you, now im the surgical coordinator of GYN SURGERY, PLASTIC surgery, Robotic, orthopedic, and offourse do vascular, neuro and general... be bold, outgoing, and learn to speak loud and whats on your mind.. You can do it...!!!
