  1. I believe it is opening in the next few days-week. "Early August" is what I was told.
  2. Hey @donnaharkham The questions will pop up on the screen and you are given like 30 seconds to think of something, then begin your response. You can watch the video before submitting it, and redo the question once I believe, but if you redo the question I don't think you can watch it. For the questions, I found a list of 20 or so questions that cedars "likes to ask" (or so said the title of the list, haha) and I practiced my answers over and over. It helps to have 4 or so situations that you can look back on a apply what you learned during that time. Think of a situation or patient, what the issue was, how you resolved it, or how you would resolve it if it wasn't resolved, and finally what you took away from the experience. Try not to panic (easier said than done), take a few deep breaths before starting, and try to have fun with it. I messed up a few times, giggled, said words wrong because I was so nervous, but was confident in my answers, and I made it to the next round. Try to be yourself and show them that you know what you are talking about!
  3. Hey. I took the tests. They take a long time, but don't be nervous! If you haven't gone into the link yet, do so. This will not start the test, but it will allow you to collect information. They give you a study guide for the Pharm and Med Surge tests. They are extremely helpful. The other tests are weird. One is a timed (7 min) SAT style test with word assosiation (banana is to fruit as ___ is to Tree) and random math question like "if you bought 3 pencils for a nickle, how many pencils can you get for $7". 2 tests are rating the "trueness" of the sentence ex:"I have never stolen from work" and then there is a video quiz where you watch a video and have to choose the best and worst response to the situation. I am going to do the interview now... are there any pointers to the questions??? Someone said it was NOT what they were expecting, but didn't elaborate, so I'm super nervous. HALP! :)
  4. @jazzminh Thank you! Could you take each test at separate times or does it need to be done in one chunk?
  5. Hey Everyone! I have the Skills Assessment and Oneway Video Interview coming up and was wondering if you could give some insight into what to expect. I'm in the middle of finals and any additional help would be SO appreciated because I have very little extra time to research! The skills assessment is suppose to be 2-3 hours long and I have no idea what to expect! Is it one long test or multiple tests? Are the one-way interview questions the normal "Why Cedars?" "Name a time you...." type of questions? Thank you, thank you, thank you- in advance. :)
  6. Still "under review" ... but I definitely wrote my personal statement based on two units that I don't think they offer in the RN Residency program- L&D and NICCU. OOPS! haha
  7. Hi @criticalcaring! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I applied to the NICCU as well but didn't get a 2nd interview. Do you mind me asking what your background is? Did you have additional certifications? did you know people in CHLA,? ...all that fun stuff. I am still looking for a job and would love to know what hospitals are looking for right now and what is going to make me stand out. I appreciate your help!

  9. Hey! I know this post is old, but I am having the hardest time finding information about their New Grad program.Do they offer Rn residency to new grads not coming from Long Beach State? If so, could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you SO much.
