I will consider all your advices for sure, thanks a lot guys...i'l try to move on from this point...i just found out on the reapply form that CA is now participating in the 45-day retake policy, i don't know how true is this but it is stated on the form. my choice at the moment is NCSBN review and KAPLAN...i can't attend to both but i have to decide in a few days.

so there's only 4 states that doesn't participate? CA when NCSBN first did the change was one of the states that does not participate and i was just confused on when did CA-RN changed from 90 to 45 days? anyways, thanks for the verification.

i got lots of prioritization, delegation, infection control and some meds...i used saunders book and CD doing 75-100 questions/day for a month. thanks for your concern...i'l get over it:madface:

Note: The following boards of nursing do NOT participate in the 45-day retake period. just wanna let you know guys that i failed again, took the exam last july 12 in CA and I called the BON today and talked to a guy and he told me "it's a bad news for me" but he didn't say I failed or pass he just said bad news for me and study harder next time, i'm lucky to have a response like that after only 5 days of waiting...CA doesn't have quick result, i just called to ask about my files and it ended up knowing my result which is good coz now i can prepare again for my next exam which is gonna be 86 days from today...i don't even need to check the CA BON website every minute from now on or wait for the mail to know my result...I FAILED at 75 which means i extremely don't know what i'm doing, i did better on my other tries in which i'm not much prepared and this last one i devoted some time and failed at 75, sucks huh, made me feel dumber!!! I'm a BSN graduate, spent 4 long years at school graduated with flying colors and can't even pass NCLEX-RN, maybe it's not my time yet or it could be that nursing is not for me...i'l figure it out before reapplying...thanks for those who wished me luck and hoped that i passed, save it for next time...sorry that i have to do a thread like this and it doesn't look good on the site but i have to vent it out or i will just explode...i can't blame myself, anyone or anything coz i did my best.

EIMAJ, i took my exam july 12 late in the afternoon, i tried checking my name in CA BON website and it wasn't there, i'm convinced that i failed already, i hope i pass next time, if i'm still taking it. it's probably not for me...i'm just waiting for the mail for confirmation that i failed again. I can't believe i failed at 75 in which i prepared my more and did worst than the last ones...Little hope left with me, hoping it's just delayed or i'm really dumb.... CONGRATS EIMAJ!!!

Hi I took the NCLEX RN last july 12, 3pm and computer shuts off at 75, this is my 5th try and more prepared this time, previous test shuts off, like 80's, 120's, and 90's, i have a lot of prioritization, delegation and one math question that is fill in the blank, i didn't get any "select all the apply" type of question, is it an indication that i failed? anyone here that passed without select all that apply type of question? I'm in CA so I have to wait longer for my results. I just wanna prepare myself for the worst. I'm getting depressed...I don't know if nursing is for me, I'm getting hopeless.

They said they update it monday-friday. I stopped checking the website since friday, i told myself i'm just gonna wait in the mail. I will keep on praying that we pass...let me know ok if you see something in the website in the next few days.

I took the NCLEX RN july 12, 3pm and ended at 75, don't see my name at CA BON website too, don't know what to tell you coz i'm feeling the same, i took my exam in sacramento CA.

Congratulations to everyone that passed!!! can't wait any longer for my results, i'm planning to start studying again and i just want to reapply again eventhough i haven't gotten my results yet...i'm in CA so i have to wait longer coz we don't have the quick result program here....wish me luck guys and please PRAY for me...i took the exam july 12, 3pm and test shuts off at 75. i took it more than 3 times already, this is the first time it shut off at 75 in which i'm more prepared and used the saunders CD which suzanne advised me to do...i just can't believe this feeling that i can be less competent this time.

I feel the same way guys, i took my exam last wednesday july 12 and felt like i already failed but nothing i can do but to keep on praying and hoping that i pass, my exam shuts off at 75...i'm in CA so it's additional torture for me, i have to wait 2-3 weeks for the mail, i just don't know how accurate the CA BON on their website. it's my 2nd day of torture, i can't take it anymore...i think i will die waiting before i even know the results, goodluck to all of us...it's now in the hands of GOD.

I took the exam yesterday and it shuts off at 75, i am so afraid i'm gonna fail again, last time i took it, it shuts off at 91 and failed, but difference from last time is that i'm more prepared yesterday, so i'm just convincing myself that i did better yesterday than the last time i failed...but i still don't know, i'm from CA so i have to wait longer. I feel the same way, sorry to hijack your thread but i was reading the replies just for me to feel better, i don't wanna start a new thread saying i failed too, since we are in the same boat in CA...until now when i think about it i start to cry and tell myself what have i done wrong, but there's nothing i can do anymore but to get over it and start fresh, it doesn't matter how many times we take it anyway, it's just not our time yet. i will submit my reapplication tomorrow and that maybe will make me feel better, and i'l be more fine for sure when i get my elegibility again. i will start reviewing the saunders CD just like what suzanne told me. i don't know how am i gonna encourage you or give you some advice coz i badly need it too. i feel like giving up but i did 4 years of school for it and i even got an award for being the best in nursing care, i'm an academic distinction awardee too but i'm failing the NCLEX RN i don't know why, God only knows, my classmates that is just average in school took it and passed the first time, that made me more mad at myself. i still not over it but i'm trying to by reading the replies in this thread. thanks for all encouragement and help that you guys are giving us. thanks a lot. i appreciate it...called them again today and still status is not available, they just have my old file status but for the recent test i took the lady said it's not in their system yet, so result is still pending and they haven't been touched...when checked if there is a decision yet, the lady said there's none, bec she said she can tell me if there is a decision made already but she just can't tell pass or fail, but in my case there is none yet as of this time, i'm crossing my fingers...i am praying so hard each day hoping to pass.

I called them about the requirements and they told me that I don't have anything missing. so now i guess i just need to sit and wait for the result, good or bad i'll take it and get ready for the next try if i got the negative result. I was feeling ok when i was surfing the site seeing a lot of people giving opinions about priority questions. I've seen posts saying that it's a good thing, i think 60% of the 91 questions i got is prioritization, delegation. I also got a lot of question concerning a nurse being a spokesperson in a community conference and hospital conference regarding some health concerns and teachings. i can still remember my last question before it shuts off. i know i got the last 2 questions correct. hope this is good.

I called the CA BON again today, the lady that work there said that she don't see anything yet on my recent exam taken last friday oct 21, what she is seeing is the exam i took last 2003, and the one i took recently has no comment on the status yet, she told me that CA BON only has one person that's processing all the exam result...so i'm still hoping for the best...she said they haven't even looked at my exam result yet...i still have a chance i guess. yes suzanne, i'll try to do and follow your advice for now, that way i can divert my attention into a productive and helpful things than just nervously thinking about my nclex rn result.

i probably gonna start next week with the saunders comprehensive review CD. i'l keep like 8 of my review books and CD and just concentrate with saunders to minimize confusion. do i need to read and finish the book too? or just start answering the CD test 100 per day? thanks for your help and replies suzanne. glad i found this website.

Hi suzanne, first of all thanks for your reply, before i took the test, i used the kaplan book and it's practice question CD, then i started book by princeton with it's CD, i finished the whole book then half of the QA CD that's like 1000 question..i have saunders but haven't really paid so much attention on that one. i graduated nursing school 1997. but i know i still got it inside me...just need a little follow ups. hope this helps for you to evaluate my problem...so when i get my result by mail i can start the program with you....i don't know if i should still hope that i pass or just start studying now so i can take it again after 90 days...any input will be appreciated.

hi fellow nurses, i took the nclex RN exam last friday oct 21 in CA, it's already tuesday and i haven't seen my name on CA BON website, im tryin to convince myself that i already failed. i just wanna vent out some of my frustrations. it's my 5th try...test shuts off at 90+ not sure the exact, from the start til the very last 2 questions i was answering questions that requires prioritization, initial intervention, and lots of delagations, i have no math question, i got one select all that apply and that's it, i'm pretty sure i got the last 2 questions right...im nervous still eventhough i know i failed already...i called the BON today just bec, i want to have a peace of mind and they told me that they haven't mailed my results yet that's all i got from them, they didn't even tell me that i can check it on their website..so it's not an option for me i guess so it's a hint that i didn't pass. it's been harder and harder to sleep and eat each day that passes not seeing my name on their website...well i know i already failed bec. its same as the previous attempts i made..the waiting and the instance looks similar except it's the 5th try...of all the 5 tries this last one i can say is different in terms of the content of questions, i never had so much priority and delegation questions before...still not convincing me that i did better. thanks for reading guys. i'm still praying and if it happen that you will remember this thread before you say your prayer please include me... i will greatly appreciate it. more power to all....
