  1. NP- I would love to do some independent teaching services and bill accordingly. Is this allowed?? I've done some research and identified billing codes appropriately.. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you
  2. "Keep it to yourself"...I'm sure this is the same advice you give yourself when you make mistakes. No further discussion..
  3. Well.. If someone finds out you're in Rehab and your employer finds out from a third party-are you OK with that? Think this through with your family and make the best decision-Don't make a decision out of fear...Will the individuals who are telling you "it's no one's business" be there if you have to speak to this later? Self reporting shows you're taking accountability and responsibility for what you've done and moving towards making it better. Your future, your family, your finances, your character -your decision.
  4. I would definitely self report to the board of nursing and enroll in TPAN (Texas Nurses). This would show initiative from you towards getting help. I would focus on getting what you need before returning to work if at all possible. Good Luck
  5. Hi, Did this work for a major insurance company as a contractor....I believe I was paid about $55-$60/ per assessment... It was OK. The clients were nice, time is money- each assessment is your income; consider taxes and vehicle wear and tear, travel time, gas.. all those things that take away from your rate. Make sure it's worth a nurses coming to work for you. Also, will you offer benefits? Potential barrier to entry: Insurance companies typically have their own people or a company they've partnered with in the past to contract a nurse when needed. That's how I got in. Again, definitely not a labor intensive job so you probably will have a lot of nurses interested with so many looking to leave the bedside. Good Luck
  6. Introspection and self-reflection can do wonders....
  7. I just saw this video/article today.. I am sure most of you have seen this. What are your thoughts?? https://www.tiktok.com/@theuncuttt/video/7308473238068219182
  8. Learn from this situation. I would apply elsewhere and hang in there until you can transition. If you can afford to, then resign.
  9. I am surprised by the lack of nurses who responded...I wonder if a lot of nurses shy away from business because they are truly not interested or because they don't have the support and/or know how.
