Any advice?
just hang on in there. if a position is vacated you'll have the edge over other applicants. your training is still an experience. it may not give a boost to your resume as a work experience but it will definitely give you a boost on your skills.

Hello simpleRN From what I've heard, you will not be certain of the exact place nor hospital where you will be assigned until you get there. A friend of mine who's been there before says that it's hard work but you'll gain experience well. One thing that's not appreciated though is the limited time you are allowed to shop or much less just go to places. 3 hours is the most that they can give you. Can you please pm the list requirements and can you give a clue as to how they conduct the interview? Thanks

Hi aljin I'm also planning to apply thru poea. Would you happen to know what's the salary range that was offered to your friend? Thanks

I haven't heard or read of any law that requires us new grads to have 2 years experience before working abroad. I think it's a proposal that haven't earned yet the approval of the lawmakers. As a matter of fact, POEA accepts new grad applicants for job postings in Saudi. It all boils down as to whether the employer will find your application suitable to their requirements. Happy holidays!

Wow! Thanks pisceanbabe74 for the very informative post above. It would surely help me as a new grad nurse in anticipating what's in for me in KSA. Am I correct to assume that you are still in Saudi? What hospital are you affiliated with? May I just know how much more or less do nurses get for a pay, both for non-experienced and experienced nurses. Thanks.

hi bonesgilmore! they are continuously hiring.. sad part is when are they going to call. from what school are you? you can try calling hrd to inquire about your status. i already did... all that i got for an answer was to wait for their text message as they will give equal chances to every applicant...

did you take the 2nd exam already? how was it? followed your advice and called HRD. the girl on the other line first asked what school did i graduate from. hearing that it's a provincial school she just informed me to wait for a text message. are they making exam schedules based on schools. hope not.what school are you from anyway? you were lucky to have been called for the exam a day after submission. thanks!
