  1. I plan to take the exam on November but I still dont have a testing date. I wonder if I can avail of Suzanne's study program now or does she really require that I should already have a testing date before I join the program? I hope Suzanne can read this because I have been trying to figure out how I can send her a pm..Thanks a lot..
  2. I have been reading this thread and have gathered the following steps. I hope you could enlighten me with my questions here.. VT BON received my application on the last week of June.. 1. submitted application - done 2. wait for Eligibility - * How do you know that you are eligible to take the exam? Does BON send you a letter or email? * Do they send the white card separately? Do they provide the candidate number on their mail? 3. mail back the white card if you are ready to take the exam for the BON to make you eligible * What is the expiry date in mailing back the white card? Do they indicate that on their mail to you? OR where can we confirm the expiry date? I am really confuse with this one since some say it is 365 days but i would like to make sure that it is actually 1 year..Please help. 4. Register with Pearson Vue = *you have 90 days to schedule to sit for the exam, is this right? 5. Pearson Vue will be the one to send you your ATT.. I hope I have listed the steps correctly, please feel free to add your comments if I missed something..
  3. Good day again, How do I inform the Vermont BON about my change of mailing address? I submitted my application for licensure 3 weeks ago, but I will transfer residence next month. Do I inform them through email, phone or do I have to make a letter and send it to them through post?
  4. I would like to follow up on this question again regarding the CHED Special Order. I have done some search here but cannot find any. Shall I also send the CHED Special Order together with the RLE and Tanscript since my school is not accredited by PAASCU? I remember when we filed for our local board this Special Order was required by the PRC, I would like to know from those who have been approved by Vermont BON if they still asked for this Special order?
  5. Thank you Lawrence. This question is still specifically for Phils. applicants and for those who graduated from schools that are not PAASU accredited. I wonder if your school submit the CHED Special Order together with the RLE and TOR or there is no need to submit this S.O. ?
  6. Thank you very much for all your replies and for clearing my confusions. You have been very helpful. Just one last question, I asked my bank(BPI) if they have U.S. affiliation and they told me that they are affiliated to Citibank NY, so it means I can use the bankdraft from BPI as my form of payment? I have read somewhere that someone here also use PNB, I wonder if anyone here has use the BPI bankdraft? Again, thank you in advance for any advice you can give. I have also emailed Vermont BON regarding some of my queries(not posted here) and they are very prompt in replying to me. I hope everything will go well with my application, and yes I am very aware with the ongoing retrogression. God bless all.
  7. Hello again, I need help please. I will be sending my application to Vermont next week and I just want to make sure that I wont miss anything. 1. There is a question there regarding the Date issued of our PRC license card, is it the one below our date of birth OR is it the registration date? 2. Is it ok if the verification document from my school will arrive ahead of my application form? Thank you for your help.
  8. How about PRC Iloilo? The last time I inquired 1st week of June mine is still not available. . Last name starts with 'L'.
  9. Hello Suzanne, Thanks for your reply. Does that mean that I should not check any box on this particular question? ~ "I have practiced nursing as defined in 26 VSA. 1576 for at least (check the appropriate statement): ___120 days (960 hours) in the last five years OR ___ 50 days (400 hours) in the last two years" What do you suggest? Shall I just leave it blank and attach an explanation letter. I have emailed the BON regarding this but they have an automated reply that does not answer my specific question. I understand the bulk of their work. Can anyone here have suggestions too? I plan to send my application this week but this particular question kept me hanging. Thank you in advance for your help.
  10. Hello and good day to everyone, After much reading and research on this forum, I have decided to apply for licensure to Vermont BON. Just like the other applicants here, I have some confusions regarding the following: 1. Since I have undergone 6 months work as a Nurse trainee, I wonder if I have to check one of the boxes here, and if so, which one? OR do I just have to leave it blank? OR do I have to check the 120 days, as one of the posters here suggested as my RLE college training "I have practiced nursing as defined in 26 VSA. 1576 for at least (check the appropriate statement): a. 120 days (960 hours) in the last five years OR b. 50 days (400 hours) in the last two years" 2. About the payment, I wonder if any of you here use BPI demand draft for payment. If not, what bank can you suggest? 3. The school will only have to send the TOR and Course Description together with the form? No need for RLE? 4. In the application, Am I answering the ff. questions correctly: a. child support - NO b. Taxes - Yes c. unemployment contributions -Yes 5. I will only be sending the application form and the payment? Thank you very much for your assistance. I deeply appreciate it.
  11. Hello, just want to ask what is their minimum requirement for work experience and how long is their processing. Thank you.
  12. I need some advice here. Presently Im working for almost 6 months now as a Nurse Trainee in one of the tertiary hospitals here in the country, but as we all know being in this position means working without a salary. Its good that the hospital did not require us to pay any fee to them. The experience was really good. But right now, Im thinking of whether to continue my training/volunteer work or look for other job that will pay me a salary. I enjoyed my exposure in the hospital, but I also have to earn an income that will support my daily needs, and looking for a nursing job here is very much difficult. I am weighing the pros and cons, and as I read the different threads here, the moderator here emphasized that a training is a training and not considered as work experience. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.
