  1. I am in my first semester of clinicals in my BSN program and I felt exactly the same way at the beginning of the semester. It took me quite a few weeks to get excited about new skills because I was so nervous. It will get better I promise!
  2. This happened to me during pre-nursing, the first semester of my sophomore year. I was devastated and my grades took a turn for the worse because of how depressed I was. I then went on to get rejected THREE times from my school's nursing program and had to transfer to another school. I am finally starting actual nursing school this year and I have been married for three months to an amazing man. Self care is key. My biggest regret is trying to get him back because it consumed me and only prolonged my pain.
  3. My Pathophysiology class was so easy and I learned so much. Your school is quite different it seems. I have never read the book for any of my classes and got into two different nursing schools.
  4. Both of the nursing schools in my area increased the amount of people accepted per semester because of the demand for nurses so there are definitely jobs. I think the issue may be is that a lot of hospitals require previous experience for certain nursing schools so you will have to start off in the ER or ICU most likely.
  5. I failed Anatomy I the first time (I was going through a rough time in my personal life). I took it again the next semester and passed it and I also took Anatomy 2 at the same time which was strangely helpful. My college offered "grade deletions" so my gpa would be replaced. The college of nursing still looks at classes you fail even with a grade deletion though. I still highly recommend retaking it. Truly, I think how you do in Labs is a better predictor of your nursing ability rather than anatomy itself. Most of it you will forget by time you get into the program anyways.
