I feel the same way! Also graduated in December and still without a job... I would even take a CNA job (just to get my foot in the door) at this point but many hospitals won’t hire RNs as CNAs due to legality/scope of practice. I am based in CA and thought maybe with COVID-19, hospitals would hire anyone to help but it looks like new grads are again at the bottom of the totem pole, and to top it all off a few hospitals in my area have postponed their new grad programs.

We won't have a 2nd round of interviews because our prescreen interviews took the place of the 1st round of interviews ... My friends who got into the March cohort only had 1 interview ? Unless they changed it again... who knows...

I am in the same boat! I don't have any clinical experience in the ED besides EMT certification and volunteering there... I am not bilingual BUT I know several people who were hired for the March cohort and they aren't bilingual either - Hope this helps!

Does anyone know if everything is still on track time-wise? Or will the hiring process get postponed due to COVID-19 ? You would think ALL hospitals would want to speed up this process and hire any and all nurses right now... even just to hand out masks or something??

Hello All Does anyone have info on applying for the a-IPC exam (associate - infection prevention control certification)?? I was told it will go public in May (hopefully) and that testing centers thru Prometrics (their testing company) will be closed till April 16th due to COVID-19. Is the CBIC a government site? Is it the only one to obtain this certification? Thanks!

I spoke to a recruiter in Feb and they told me it would be open in March but did not provide a specific date ? I check the website every day... Becoming paranoid that the app is open, they haven't updated their residency page and I'm missing it!

Hello All, Wondering if anyone has signed a new grad contract with Pioneer Staffing Services for the Centinela Medical Center? I have been offered a position but am a bit nervous about signing a 2 yr contract with them... Or if you have any experience working at Centinela? Any advice? Thanks in advance!
