  1. Nobody knows what will happen after the Brexit. Not to discourage you, but I humbly suggest to do some research about life in the UK as a nurse.
  2. I have the same query. I am considering other countries where migration seems more linient. Of course, as an expat, we dream to become a citizen of that foreign country we're going to work for, or maybe at least a PR. From what I've read is that the new UK PM Theresa May vowed for stricter migration policies, and what is shocking is that the exchange rate of UK pounds to Ph Peso is from Php69 to almost Php60. No one really knows what happens next. Let me know your status when you get there!
  3. I am from the Philippines, planning to work as a Nurse in the UK. However, I am weighing pros and cons about going there due to the Brexit. I might consider other countries where migration seems more lenient. I have heard that it is difficult to apply for permanent residency there since you have to meet certain annual salary. Any nurse who has experienced such? Or in the process of applying for PR and or British Citizenship?
  4. Hi there everyone, Any update on the cost of living in the UK? How is that treating you now? Is it still good to settle in there? I've heard that the new PM Theresa May vowed for stricter regulations on immigration.
  5. Brexit, what happens next? I am just wondering if the UK policies have been stringent to migration policies for nurses? Is there anyone here has encountered difficulty applying for permanent residency or citizenship?
  6. Hi there, I am just new here. I applied in one of the agencies here in the Philippines, going to the UK. I am a nurse currently working in the Department of Health, the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for ensuring access to basic public health services by all Filipinos through the provision of quality health care and regulation of all health services and products. I am wondering if the NMC will accept such work experience despite that it is not in a hospital setting. I hope someone can enlighten me on this. Thank you in advance.
