Work full-time and go to school, students and single mothers do it all the time. Pull yourself by your bootstraps and get to work. I'm almost about to start nursing school working taking care of my whole family including by 20 month year old nephew like my own son. I have no children. I'm in my 20's. If I can do it anyone can.Plus I'm a girl. Grow up. Plus I'm planning to send him to private school that is $6,000 a year plus additional activities.

Good luck In NS! Maybe friends outside of school would be better. People in ns can have cliques.

Congratulations! On your upcoming marriage. I would go easy on yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day and nursing school is a process. Take one day at a time. Enjoy your marriage.

I know this is off topic. But I can't help but notice that you got an "A" in microbiology and anatomy physiology. I was wondering how did you study for microbiology. I have three prerequisites left. anatomy and physiology 2,microbiology, and college algebra. For College Algebra I have a tutor. how did you study for anatomy and physiology 2, and microbiology.I am especially wondering about microbiology because there is little studying information around the internet. the only thing I have done is was getting a private tutor but that is expensive. since I'm already paying for a math tutor. how do you factor a study for microbiology? Your insight would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated!

You should be happy!!!! Cheer up. You are in an excellent position. Your starting the year off great applying to your program, and you already have a BA!!! Look at me I have 3 prerequisites left AP2, Miro, and Math(college algebra). Plus studying for and taking the Teas V. Plus I told all my family and friends I would start my program next semester in August. If I fail a course or don't pass the Teas V I'm screwed:woot:. To top it off the last day of classes/ finals end on my birthday:no: So either my birthday will be awesome and I will get to apply to my nursing program or I will flop and my birthday will suck. I will have to retake a class or classes or Teas V again and embarrass myself in front of my entire family, friends, and church! You don't have it that bad you are applying CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You should read this book How to Succeed in Nursing School by Caroline Porter Thomas. She is an RN. She also has a YouTube channel called EmpoweRN. She is very encouraging. The book is $12 on amazon. Hi AN! Should I take AP2 with Straighterline. I have been raking my brain over going with straighterline or taking AP2 at my local CC insight on the Straighterline course for AP2 would be extremely helpful . Thanks in advance... Sorry if this is too long! A little background on me. I planing on going to enroll in nursing school in the Fall. My school is partnerd with SL. I have 3 pre-recs left (AP2, Miro, College Algebra) Miro i am going to take with Straighterline b/c my CC only offers it at the farthest of their three locations. Math I will take online with my CC. My only real concern is if I should take AP2 with SL or my local CC. I took AP1 at my CC during a 5-week summer course. I failed it The pace was too fast. Then I took it again in a 16-week semester and passed it. ( I am not naturally strong in math and science I have to try really hard ! I also currently have a 16 month old. Mind you I was enrolled in AP1 "again" when my child was 4 days old and passed the course a my CC. I am no stranger to had work but again I really have to try at math and science and I used a recorder and listened to the lectures on my ipod). I would love to take AP2 with my same old teacher. I am scared to take AP2 b/c the teacher I took part 1 with is not teaching part 2 this semester, and I don't want to wait a year to apply to nursing school. Another teacher I don't know is available that had gotten great reviews on rate my professor, but still I do not know her. Would Straighterline work for me?
