Hi, I am out of nurse field for about 5 years and currently I am looking for a RN refresher course in NYC (queens, manhattan, brooklyn, staten island). Does anyone know anyplace offer such course? Any information and advice are welcome. Thanks

yes. that's what i read in their commitment letter and doesnt mention the breach. i havent given them my answer yet. i found a nursing home is hiring and can sponsor. it just make me for sure that rehab facility/ ltc is more willing to sponsor and easier to find. but for international nurse, how do you think if she starts her 1st american job from ltc?

You should ask a lawyer. Your illegal status in USA should not over 180 days.

I think Saunders comprehensive book is enough. When you do the comprehensive CD, it has the strategies. Comprehensive book(and its CD) has everything. You dont need to buy the strategies book ( I borrowed that book from the library but havent finished).

Today I talked with a nurse recruiter on phone, I was told that when the hospital sponsor a foreign nurse for greencard, usally it will be three-year contract signed between the hospital and the nurse. Is it normal? dont you think 3 years commitment is a bit long?

I cant believe that I am a RN!!! I took the exam on 2/28, the computer shut off at 80 (acutally I dont know how many questions I exactly answered). I followed Suzanne's program and focused on Saunders comprehensive CD for one and half month. I did every question and wrote down every question that I missed. I did the CD again and again until I understand why the answer is chosen. What I regret is that I didnt study Nclex-rn when I received Suzanne's email. I failed the nclex three times, and so depressed. I put all study materials away. But one day when I look at my ATT, I found that the test validity will expire at the end of Feb. I listen to my heart that I still wanna be a RN. So, I read Suzanne's email again and concentrated every minute on saunders comprehensive book and cd. I just found this afternoon that my name is on the board's web site. I am so excited. I can do it, every one can do it, I believe. Just focus on saunders, it gives you very detailed explanations. I just went to the NCSBN.ORG and read the NCLEX FACT SHEET. I found that the Nclex-RN pass rate for the first time candidate is more than 80% and pass rate for repeat candidate is only from 39.2% to 45.5%. What does it mean? Is it harder to pass the exam for the repeat candidate? I've taken the exam twice. First time stopped at 192 and all areas are nearing passing standard. Second time stopped at 75, 4 areas are nearing passing standard, and the other 4 are below. So depressed! My performance was not improved. It was regressive. But I dont want to give up. Now, I am gonna take my third time. I am wondering whether the passing standard is higher for me. Because I've taken the exam twice and see the real questions. Please share some thoughts. If I am asking stupid questions, just tell me. Thanks
