  1. Hi! Yes a Gastro tube. I'm wondering if I can put the old tube back in rather than sending him to the ED.
  2. A patient lives in an AFH and has pulled out their G tube that they have had in place for years. The tube is in good shape, not damaged. They do not any supplies at home. Can I clean it and put it back in with appropriate supplies? Or can I only replace it with a new, packaged, sterile one? If I can clean it, how do I do so? Thank you
  3. Hi there, I actually never applied for the job. I ended up staying in Family Health. I'm sorry you don't like your current job. I hope you end up finding something you love.
  4. Thank you!
  5. Hello! I actually never ended up applying for it. Another door opened when I applied for a Covid vaccine clinic coordinator, which I am doing now. Please let me know how you like it if you accept the job! Good luck on your interview!
  6. Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate all of the details- you answered exactly what I was wondering! Have a great day!
  7. Thank you so much for your response and information!
  8. Hello! Are any of you Rheumatology nurses? If so and you work in the clinic setting, what does a typical day look like for you? Are you administering medications or helping with any type of procedures? Thanks in advance!
  9. Hello! I am thinking about applying for an open position at my clinic for Palliative Care Nurse Navigator. I don't know a lot about Palliative Care but I do know it is separate from Hospice in my Clinic. I am wondering if this position includes direct patient care, like catheters and IV medications, etc. or is it less hand's on? Any information would be so appreciated. Thank you.
  10. Thank you for your response. I understand it's a providers decision on how they would like it done but I was just curious what the majority of people have done, in their experience. Thank you! Thank you!
  11. Hi, I have a question regarding preparing the skin prior to a minor procedure, such as removing a skin lesion. My provider has asked me to prepare the skin using a povidone-iodine swabstick. Do I let it dry and then leave it? Or am I supposed to wipe it off or?
  12. Hello, I was wondering the same thing regarding the accreditation issue. Have you found out any information? Thank you
  13. Thank you, yes, I have called and emailed the department of health. I am going to try them again tomorrow. Thank you for your help.
  14. Thank you! Aspen is not on this list unfortunately. However on the Department of Health website it shows Aspen listed on another list. It's so unclear and confusing...
  15. Hello! I have recently heard that WA state requires an online BSN program from a school to have at least ONE campus in state in order to be accredited. I cannot confirm this with the nursing commission because I cannot get a hold of them. I'm hoping to go to Aspen college and they do not have a campus in state. Wondering if anyone else knows if this is true or not.
