  1. There is a daily $2 parking lot across the street from LACC. Campus Maps & Parking - Campus Map - Los Angeles City College
  2. I did buy it. I think we only need background checks once a year according to the fee schedule but we need drug tests each semester.
  3. Just received an updated email regarding orientation. We are to fill out a form, register, and pay for the MOAB and Fire Safety Classes. $35 and $30 each respectively, paid on campus at the Community Services Office before August 16.
  4. No problem! If I were in your shoes, I'd hope someone would help keep me informed.
  5. I am not an alternate. I was accepted back in May. Did the alternates get their medical packet yet? It takes some time to get that stuff ready, though you probably wouldn't want to spend the money if you're not guaranteed a spot yet.
  6. I called yesterday, they said a lot of people are out on vacation.
  7. When I went to an info session, the counselor said that the paperwork would say something like 1 of 2. or 2 of 2 when ATI sent it to them. You would have to send all results, including results from old versions of the TEAS that are no longer accepted because if you sent the recent results, it would say 2 of 2, and the department would not know if the 1 of 2 was an out of date version or previous attempt of the current version.
  8. I called about turning in my medical packet yesterday. They didn't have any info for me because there were no professors or director in. They asked me to call back on Monday. I think everyone is out.
  9. Hope y'all find out soon.
  10. My letter just says to call 2 weeks prior to register and pay. No fee listed.
  11. They only send the packet after you call to accept your spot. It needs to be turned in by orientation.
  12. That's the exact one I purchased except mine was black with white numbers. I didn't put a link because I thought we weren't allowed to on here.
  13. I just bought one from Amazon for about $16. Use the search term "casio 200H"
  14. Any LACC grads want to sell their uniform? I was just accepted for Fall and would like to keep my budget down!
  15. You may want to verify if you're actually the 45th alternate. In an older LACC thread, they were saying that the alternate list started at number #41 instead of #1. 40 students were initially accepted, so the first alternate was #41.
  16. Thanks, I'll call them on Tuesday and I'm out of town until Wed. I'm seeing my doctor next week so I'll need my medical packet right away.
  17. Did they say how to confirm the spot? Email, phone call, post card, etc? When they called me to tell me I was accepted they told me I wouldn't enroll in classes until the first day of class. I thought that was a little strange.
  18. The uniqueness will help prevent it from getting stolen or lost.
  19. Thanks, fingers crossed for you!
  20. Glad to know that the deadline is 6/15 because I still haven't received a letter even though I've been accepted. So unfortunately the alternates won't know yet because we haven't even gotten acceptance letters.
  21. I don't think anyone who has been admitted has received a letter yet either.
  22. It's the basic calculator in the Windows operating system
  23. Do you have an estimate of tuition fees? Thanks.
  24. I already went to a "prestige" school for undergrad and it was a big mistake. The professors there were not good instructors and I regret going there. I already have a lot of student loans and I do not want to put myself into another $50-100K in debt for nursing school.
  25. Thank you for this. I was worried that my ADN program would hinder me, but in reality, it's the best option financially for me.
