  1. I'm pretty sure my community college doesn't do this. It doesn't sound fair to me. I start in August also and I've been on the waitlist since finishing my prereqs in last May. Hopefully you will be able to start in August as some individuals may not enter as planned, i.e. got too tired of waiting and went somewhere else, etc. etc. Good luck to you! Brenda
  2. I'm not a nurse yet but..... when I use to work as a dietitian for WIC I remember a lady telling me all about her "urinal tract infection" she developed after delivering her baby.
  3. I work as youth counselor at a residential treatment center for delinquent girls ages 12 to 18. I work 6 hours during the day on Wednesday, 10 hours overnight on Thursday and 12 hours overnight on Friday and Saturday. Will have plenty of time to study once I get in and I have plenty of hours saved so that I can take Wednesdays off when the time comes (am on the dreaded waitlist). Brenda
  4. I am 42 and am on a waitlist for a 5 semester ADN program. I finished my prereqs in May and I have been told there is a 3 semester waiting period. So.... I hope to start the Summer session next year. Anyway right now I am working and saving $. I spent 16 years as a dietitian and although I am no longer practicing I think it will be helpful in my future career as a nurse. I really can't wait to get started. Brenda
