I met with the investigator in person had a portolio, She said that if I didn't get rid of my lawyer after I had she would have held it for 1yr more on top of the 6m waiting, worst time of my life really was. The interview was complete and I said you know why rearview mirrors are smaller then the front windshield. In my opion it's like life, reason is were not meant to focus on where we came from but where we're going. Just like a car we're meant to keep our eyes on the road and only time to time we look back as a friendly safety measure not to dictate our future. When you look back I remind myself that's the past Tony can't go back in time. That mirror is just a reminder of where I came from not were I'm headed. She told me that day I got my license, be honest and show them every step you took to be where your at now.

Yo man that's amazing, I also had a very similar situation, I am blessed bc I've been working at a hospital for six yrs as a tech no issues, during that time I worked hard and was honest when i applied, they gave me the opportunity and never turned back, went to school finished, waited for lic, didn't have to go to BON though, had like 80 people DR. Nurses, ADMIN, supervisors, people in my community write letters for me, even a congressman felt sorry for me bc he saw the change in my life, now I am proud to say ive been working for the same hospital for 7 months now as a RN. what state?

the company i did was called Harvest. The do all states and run various checks such as FBI and some others for $120. Also Be honest to the question. In advance get as much letters of references documents from work, anything that shows accomplishment. run for student body, volunteer. Sounds crazy but some states take things very serious and if they see it and you choose no on application when NCLEX time comes, they will hold your license or not let you take test. be honest, and best of luck. also get free consult with lawyer. or call BON, or professional discipline dept and ask

I just heard today that I was approved for my license.`````I felt it necessary to update people who might find their way here and help somebody that might be in a similar situation looking for hope. well the Investigator was extremely nice, i showed massive documentation and letters, awards, recognition, rehab docs ect. my current job as a tech at a hospital, prepare ahead and save everything you've done you'll need it,,,,You do not need a lawyer if your case is similar to mine and are living good. my charges were not felonies. Own up to your mistakes and show them what your about today. Be honest dnt lie, and be persistent. God Bless and stay positive

Yes clean, and have massive support from my job and from other professionals, I have five arrest, one of which was dismissed, I was honest and transparent they are violations not felonies, paid fines. I will go to any lengths to show my change, I just pray for the opportunity. I will keep u posted.

I have posted a few days ago, if anyone knows how the process works in NY, I am waiting and heart broken that my name didint go up on the state board, i was planing to return this semester to finish my bsn. Im am now confused and unsure of what i should do now. also the hx of 5 arrest many were dropped with fine and 2 were charges of being in a drug zone. It was a bad time for me, after loosing family in 911, young, didnt realize the consequences of my actions, but realize yes my fault and i owned up to it by changing my life around. im at loss for words.

Im sorry, what state were you in, I have overcome so much in my life, i have struggled and was determined to beat the odds. I too work in the medical field and went to school excelled top of my class awards, scholarships and all. i haves had the support of my hospital that i work in, letters of recommendation, evaluations that are best in dept. in-addition I passed nclex 75 questions, waiting for application to be viewed bc of previous backround hx drug related 8yrs ago. i wanted to see if anyone knows the process. ny state?

So after reading thousands of links and blogs on this site, I decided to create an account. I passed NCLEX @75 questions and thought my life was on track about to do big and great things. Making plans going on interviews. When I original received an ATT number via phone, they said I was good and ready to go. Later learned through this site ready to go meant only to take exam. Speeding up to resent events, Now a week later I saw my friends names go up and I started to become paranoid that something is wrong. When I called the lady I spoke to TODAY said that my application was sent off to be reviewed. I am becoming worried that all my hard work and dreams are going to fade- also I currently am working at a hospital, where I was going to begin orientation in Sept. Here are some details to my hx- I included a letter explaining my circumstances, my volunteer work, awards, gpa, and included all doc from courts and 10 letters of recommendations. criminal hx. Drug possession 5x 2005-2007, rehab, and no further issues or arrest. Can anyone share there experience, ideas or hope. Very down right now!
