  1. You can't take it to replace the current C, but you can absolutely retake a course to show that you can make an A. For example, schools normally have some sort of cutoff with your science courses. It's usually good for 5 years. So think about it like this, if the classes expire in 5 years, then you can't retake them to make them current because you passed? see what I'm saying? If you made a C then just make sure that you make A's in the next courses and nothing less. Anything is possible, there are a lot of factors considered when selecting students, so you can get in with lower than avg grades. You just want to stand out, so work your butt off and make A's from now on.
  2. It doesn't matter. Once you have the BSN, you have your BSN. Nobody will look down upon you I promise.
  3. You know, I think when you are done, you should just look for a department that better suits you. It’s okay to not like something, or not be good at it. I moved around a bit in different bedside positions till I found something that I liked. Like me, I’m at work charting my 7am assessment right now. In did it earlier, now I have time to sit and do it. Actually being on the phone right now is cutting into that time LOL. Just keep your head up, and do the best you can. It’s almost over.
  4. You've studied for 6 months?! I think you'll be alright as long as you really focus on the best answer. Also, when the screen prompts you to take a break, make sure you take it.
  5. I once wore my scrubs to court to get out of a ticket.. It worked, the judge asked me what I did, told me "thanks you for doing what you do" and let me off. That was the plan all along!!! lol
  6. In my particular case, I had a lower GPA and I actually had to end up retaking 2 classes to be able to compete with the other students. Afterwards, I was accepted into a program, so anythings possible. I would change my major back to nursing and just focus. You can do better than a 2.3 and change it to a 3.2.
  7. Yea.... the anxiety never goes away, even after the 30th exam you have its still the same. Im weeks away from taking NCLEX. excited to be finishing, but nervous at the same time!!
  8. I was wondering if anyone has not received their emailed offer letter and other instructions yet? I'm still waiting for mine, but the recruiter told me that I would eventually get it.
  9. It was today at like, 1 something and for the IMCU. If you were one of the people that applied for ER or OR, just know that those two departments were extremely saturated so a lot of people were not going to get that.
  10. Yea, SE contacted me with an offer.
  11. Congrats to those who received an offer! I am still waiting to hear from southeast. They said they will be making calls today. I hope I get one also.
  12. I haven't even gotten an interview. Just the email that requested the questions being answered and the transcripts being sent in.
  13. Personally, I like to read the text, then after I did practice questions on Uworld. You can study all you want, and memorize the material, but you still need to know how to apply it (ie. critically think).. Thats just what worked for me though.
  14. I remember when I had to wait. And hey, if any of you do not get accepted for some reason, don't give up!!! Just reevaluate the application criteria and correct whatever is preventing you from being accepted. I wasn't accepted my first go round, so I just thought i'd share that with you all. Good Luck!!!
  15. That sucks. Have you applied to any other residencies or just any other jobs in general? Also, what areas did you put down that you were interested in?
