Centennial College: RPN Bridging to University Nursing - Flexible 9253
heyy! everything is going well. honestly, after the brutal research class, everything seems tolerable. haha. right now, im on my second to the last semester and so far I like it. It's more online component plus the 165 hrs in clinicals, but i think it's not that bad. It's just a LOOOOOT of writing papers but you will be just fine :)

BRIDGING RPN TO RN (centennial-Ryerson)
hello, I did the bridging in centennial (2015-2016). im currently in the ryerson full time, on my second year. to answer your questions: 1. flex means youre automatic part time when you go to ryerson. if you have specific target date to finish, i suggest you do the full time so that you'll have 2 years to finish the program in ryerson. i think part time takes 3 years, depends on how much you will take each semester. 2. Full time workload was hell. lol. i did my PN program in GBC and I can say that the bridging was harder but if you work hard enough, its not impossible to get straight As. it's rewarding, and most of the profs are amazing! 3. my first semester placement was with a group, i was placed in Toronto Western for 12 hrs. some of my friends got placed in hospitals where they do two 8hr shifts per week. really depends on the shift schedule for each placement. second semester, you're by yourself. community setting, but i was placed in endoscopy unit in north york. 4. depends on the number of days of placement. 5. yes and no. YES, you are guaranteed a spot if you have a GPA of 3.0 and higher, trust me, you'll get a high GPA. just watch out for courses like research as well as community and mental health. those were the hardest courses for me. and NO, i feel bad for those internationally educated nurses. they were promised a spot in ryerson but it turned out, the full time spots are only for those people who did their PN courses in Canada. I know people who are IENs and were told in late August that they're on part time basis even if they completed the bridging in full time basis. I hope this information has helped you :) Good luck with everything. Lyka

Centennial College: RPN Bridging to University Nursing - Flexible 9253
Hey! So i did the regular phase and now i am in my first year, second semester in ryerson. I must say, the bridging in centennial was pretty tough. personally, i was not able to work because of the workload. A lot of people i know quit their work because of the intensity of the program. Once you fail any course, you cannot go to ryerson anymore. So if you really need to work, the flex is the way to go, the downside is that you do the third semester in the next fall (fall 2018, if youre starting fall 2017). Ryerson then Starts the next next fall (2019) and you are automatically a part time student, but i believe you can take the electives once you finished the bridging, the only issue is that electives are GPA booster but it wont count towards your cumulative GPA because technically youre not considered a student yet in the post diploma nursing, youre gonna be under chang school.

hello. my tips for you is do all the homework and ask the teacher to clarify all the topics that you are struggling with. always read all the assigned readings, buying the book is highly recommended. for the online critique as well as for the tests/learning activities, download the evolve learning resource for the book, its free.. they have the practice questions for the test and the exact questions for the article online critique. i suggest you go over them. the downside for the questions available for the critique is, they dont have the answers to it. but they are helpful if you do it ahead of time. good luck!
