  1. Hi All! I am interview next week at Gonzaga University/Sacred Heart Medical Center for the CRNA program. It might sound silly, but I am not sure how dressy to dress. Casual business, full business, skirt suit, pants suit, how to wear my shoulder length hair? Any suggestions? As far as actual prep for the interview I have been reviewing ACLS and common drugs used in my experiences and gone over answers to possible questions. Am I missing anything? Any suggestions? HELP!
  2. I am also new at the site and am also currently worried about taking the GRE. What I did is went to the book store and pick up the Kaplans GRE review book. I am fairly strong in math but the vocab is what worries me. The Kaplans book seems to have a great review in both the areas. It has the 200 most used GRE words to know and also a great review of math. Also I have been to the GRE website and it has a ~80 page packet of review you can print off and some pre-tests. I plan on taking the GRE Early November-ish. After the GRE I am going to study up and take the CCRN. I have heard that having your CCRN is a one up on getting into school, any certs that you have will help you. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Jenn
  3. Tae I have not yet applied to schools, I too am a hopeful RN wanting someday to be a CRNA, so I guess I really can't speak from your shoes. But I do know that life is way too short to settle for anything less than what you want. You only get one shot at life so you had better not have any regrets. If I were you ( and I know that I am not so take it with a grain of salt) I would listen to the responses you have had from schools and take them to heart. More education will never hurt you but it will always help you. Retake some classes and reapply to schools, show them that you are not a quitter and that you really want this. Who cares how much time it will take! Time is all we have and life is as much about the journey as the destination. You have to take responsibility for your own life and make your dreams come true. You can do anything you set your mind to, especially if your heart is in it! I wish you the best. Jenn
  4. Great to meet you ICUDOUCME?! I wish you the best of luck on the GRE! It will be so nice to have it done and out of the way. Likewise it will be nice that they combine the two scores to help out your math score, but I am sure you would do fine without it. Let us know how it goes and good luck once again. JALRN
  5. Hello everyone I am new to the site and am thinking about taking the CRNA route. I graduated from ICN (WSU) 2.5 years ago and was hired at Harborview Medical Center's Burn ICU and Peds/Trauma ICU as a new grad. Now that I have a few years of ICU under my belt I am seriously thinking about appling to CRNA schools. Currently I am studing for the GRE (the vocab scares me to death) and then plan on taking the CCRN. Any advice or stories would be great! JALRN
