  1. $28 in alberta canada
  2. I live in canada..i work at a pediatric hospital making 28 dollars an hour...our scope seems to be different up here
  3. I work with a nurse in calgary..that paid 300in to write the Nclex here in calgary ..shes getting her visa process started in canada..as she would like to go to California as well..she was told you need to keep on top of them..im sure there are agencies you can talk to about getting a job..seen some pages pop up on Facebook ad well
  4. You could try a rural hospital. .i work at a rural hospital casually on days off and have done the labor and delivery floor. .gas obstetrics too..or you could work at a obstetrics clinic..
  5. Id say still try to land a casual position after 1of your final practicums..I currently work at the Children's in Calgary it is very tough it seems to get into Ahs..If you do great on your final p racticums you should at least get casual. .alot of the new staff i work with thats how they got in..If you go to Ltc..you will loose alot of your skills and will make it more difficult to get in a hospital setting..Thats just my advice. .Good luck with whatever you decide
  6. Ok thanks everyone
  7. Yea I am sure some places in Canada are pricey for sure, not like places like California or New York, our RN wage starts out at 35. Not sure what the average wage is in the states
  8. Wow big difference in wages compared to Canada. .I live in alberta..us LPN's start out at 25.93..I currently make 27.06..I work in pediatrics. .I believe we have a bigger scope here then in the USA..Our course was the old Rn diploma course. .our wage taps out at 35..You can take a special ortho tech course here and start out with a wage of 33 dollars..Interesting reading all these different articles
  9.
