From what people have indicated in the facebook group, it varies a lot from professor to professor, as there are many sections of each course all with different professors. Some offer more help than others. Some grade more strictly than others and have expectations that go beyond the syllabus. You don't get to choose your instructors in the program anymore so it is luck of the draw it a way.

Hello All, Hopefully this is allowed here. I need to do a brief 10 question interview with a practicing NP(any specialty) for a graduate school assignment. It is primarily about their role and other questions about the NP role in general. Is anyone here able to assist? If so please private convo me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree that the admissions requirements were a little easier than many NP programs, as they didn't require any recommendations, but most don't ask for a whole lot more than that. I think it's a testament to the proliferation of NP programs, that there are now plenty of seats to accommodate almost all who wish to attend NP school, unfortunately :/. Hence the saturation of the NP job market in many areas. Also like many online programs, the class size seems to be very large. Going on information given in the welcome session and orientation, it seems the fall 2020 cohort has hundreds of students between the FNP, AGNP, PMHNP, and post masters programs.

I took the rescheduled PAX as well and already received a denial so that may be a good sign for you ? I sadly thought that too . I had other things in my resume going for me too that I thought would help in addition to that but I now realize it wouldn't matter if you are a Rhodes scholar with a 1600 SAT and a phd, it just comes down to the prereqs. At first I was disappointed but on second thought I'm glad the scoring system is simple and straight forward, at least now I know what I have to do.

I scored in the 99th percentile on the PAX-RN and was rejected, pretty safe to say it wasn't considered. Had most prereqs completed except for speech and a second English.
