Should male nurses put the toilet seat down?
I think it is extremely rude when the toilet seat is left up. One male nurse I worked with would also pee all over the seat and not even wipe up his mess...

RN training pay at 10$/hr??
I would RUN. You worked hard and should be paid what you are worth. After I graduated I researched what a new graduate, in my area, and in the area I was to be hired in was getting paid so I was prepared for the question in my interview...but also so I was not cutting myself short. I would suggest doing the same. I honestly made more that 20$ an hr as an LPN and I live in the Midwest where the cost of living is much lower than where you live. I would also try researching the turnover rate for this hospital as well. You want to start somewhere that will help you be successful... it's more than a job.. it's a career and also your license.

What's your dress code at work?
RN's have to wear navy blue tops and bottoms and can only wear white undershirts or white lab coats. I have a whole closet full of fun colorful scrubs that I can no longer wear

Do nurses eat their young?
I think if you show that you are willing to learn and put in the work it takes to get yourself to a higher level of thinking, communicating, and learning your skill set.. you will be fine. Utilizing other resources and not taking a needy approach also helps. I am a new RN but worked as an LPN for quite awhile and was always complimented on my willingness to learn and take initiative. Don't do anything your not comfortable with, but be willing to get comfortable with it. Good luck.. and yes... some nurses are just plain MEAN!! It takes awhile, but with the right attitude you will earn the respect and trust of others.
