There are plenty of people in here Uk as well as in world who critisise US goverment policy and still like to come their....That is democracy....that is normal....What is the content of film 'Fahrenheit9/11..? 5. "big issues going on in washington right now, with funding for iraq war at the head of all of it. now they are approving funding just to july, and then the arguments will start all over again, so that may delay things with immigration." what a government....!!! when one issue raised up, they forgets all other issues...why, american government cannot handle more than one issue at a time...??? will wait till wednesday....and see... rgds

  9. In my opinion,The shooting incedent was an individual incident and that has nothing to do with green card or citizenship. That persone has kind of phsychological problems and he committed that crime. It is not his green card or citizenship made him to do it. Any of you think,i n America, people with green card only commit these kind of crimes..? Lots of shooting incidents took place in US recently; all of them by green card holder..? When a persone commit a crime, it is not his citizenship or immigration status made him to do the crime, but his mental/phsychological mood make him to do the crime.... Thats what I feel....Why mixing it with green card...? Rgds

  12. a daunting immigration equation politics could doom systemic reform by angie c. marek posted 4/15/07 when he appeared in yuma, ariz., last week to deliver an endorsement of "comprehensive immigration reform"-shorthand for a border-security bill with a guest-worker program-president george w. bush said he thought "the atmosphere up there [in washington] is good right now" for such a bill. the sunny statement matched the arizona morning, but it may not reflect the current reality. this story appears in the april 23, 2007 print edition of u.s. news & world report. edited for violations of us copyright law. link only and one or two sentences from the article.
  13. In August, If he signed the bill which was introduced few weeks back, will it be ok for us, nurses? If he signed something which will cover only illegal immigrants and border security, then, there will be more chances for recapturing unused visas? Rgds

  19. Hi all, Anybody knows status of RNPA(the bill which includes a provision to make Schedule A occupations exempt from the general Employment Based visa quota.(S.646) ? Where is that bill now? On what stage? Also, who is (Senator) going to introduce the bill for recapturing 90,000visa? Thanks Rgds
  20. Hi all. Presently, what I understood is there are two bills on the move in terms of Nurses immigration. One is RNPA, which includes a provision to make Schedule A occupations exempt from the general Employment Based visa quota.(S.646). Second one is CIR, for which hearing took place today. Which of these you all think going to help us? I heard that CIR will have slim chance to get thru since its covering aspect of all kind of immigration..... So....? rgds
  21. Hi all, Pls find some info related to retrogression....Just for your information and comments only..Here is the link .....deal between the House and Senate to recapture unused immigrant visa numbers and eliminate retrogression was finalized late last night. The deal creates a special EB3 immigrant class for Schedule A occupations -- registered nurses and physical therapists. The special class exempts 50,000 immigrant visas from the general EB3 category and effectively ends nurse and physical therapist retrogression for at least the next two or three years. It is expected that the formal enabling vote will take place next week. The President will sign the legislation shortly thereafter. It may take the Departments of State and Homeland Security several weeks to apply the law. At this point HLG estimates retrogression will be effectively lifted for EB3 Schedule A occupations with the publication of the July Visa Bulletin. The July Visa Bulletin should be released in mid-June..... ANY COMMENTS..?
  22. Just want to update info...? Any new info..?
