  1. I use Lilly Pulitzer as my nursing school planner and I can't say enough good things about it!! It has a yearly calendar, monthly calendar (with space for notes about the month), and a daily calendar with plenty of space to write assignments. It is adorable and there are fun stickers inside to spice your calendar up. I personally use the large size.
  2. Congrats to everyone who was accepted! I was accepted too :) I'm planning to attend another school so that will open up another spot on the wait list!
  3. I took about 2 years to complete my prerequisites, I already have a bachelor's and I will be starting an accelerated bsn program this summer. So- you are definitely not too late. I also think if you have taken all the classes you mentioned Developmental Psych will be a breeze for you. However, I do think you should expect to have an intense course load during nursing school (as others have mentioned). If you are determined and work hard you will be able to do it!
  4. As others have said it can definitely depend on your learning style. I found the labs to be easier because I learn well with a hands-on approach. The lecture has so much information so it's good to find a study strategy that works for you. I liked A+P II much better than I because it was more conceptual, less rote memorization. Good luck in your classes!
  5. @RunnerRN2015 Thank you for the advice! I am starting nursing school in May and I will definitely keep it in mind :)
  6. Hi @Ashley313! I looked at all of those schools too when applying. Of the 3 I would say Simmons was my favorite because they have a solid program that has been around for a long time (they told me >100 years at the info session!) and good clinical placements. My second choice of the three would be MGH, and then Northeastern. I read a lot on here about the drawbacks of the online classes at Northeastern- plus if you're doing NP you're only guaranteed the NP in management track (for the hybrid program anyway). Sounds like you have a very solid background, good luck!
  7. @deanna1959 @ruthc Mine was the same as Ruth's- it didn't say whether I was accepted or not. However a "To-Do List" popped up with the item "Deposit Fee", as did a section for financial aid. I've heard from other accepted students that it happened to them too but I'm not sure if it actually means anything. Good luck!
  8. Hi everyone! Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UMBAccelNursing2015/ please let me know if it works!
  9. @Indiee congrats!! Looking forward to meeting you too :) I just deleted the page since I think the group will be easier for us to use
  10. @sarahjr89 @walker2 Oops I made a page by accident! The group is now up under the same name
  11. @walker2 I was thinking the same thing! I just created one- the name is UMass Boston Accelerated Nursing Summer 2015 :)
  12. @boston850217 @sarahjr89 Congrats!! UMass Boston was my top choice too. Hopefully I'll be meeting both of you this summer :)
  13. Hi, Sarah! I'm Erin. I had a 3.3 undergrad and 3.5 prereq and I did really well on the TEAS. I just got my acceptance!! Hopefully you'll get yours soon!
  14. @sarahjr89 My application status just changed yesterday and they said I would receive a letter in the mail within 14 days notifying me of their decision. I'm dying to find out! Has yours changed yet?
  15. Hi everyone, I am applying for the UMass Boston accelerated BSN for Summer 2015 and I had a question for you all! I just checked and my application status has changed. It says a decision has been made and I will get a letter within 14 days. My application also has a section for financial aid and a "to do" list of "deposit fee". Does this mean anything??
