  1. thanks for the words of encouragement. i'm excited, nervous, and even a little scared at times. good luck with second semester. almost half way done already, well not really, but almost.
  2. i do the same. memorize the powerpoints like the lines to a play. word for word. i always get the book, but pull A's just studying the notes.

  4. email. your school email if you have one. you had until may22nd to respond if they offered you a spot on the alternates list or if you were accepted provisionaly. either way the dead line to respond was the 22nd. those who didnt respond, their spots went to those on the alternates list. the deadline to respond to those offers is tomorrow by noon.
  5. i use to feel the same. after 12 years wasnt sure this was what i wanted to be doing anymore. decided to go back to school and recently finished all my prereqs for the rn prgm. through that whole process, especially when taking the sciences, i began to feel rejuvenated and to this day crave to learn more about the medical field, regulations, policy and procedures, anatomy and physiology, cells, dna, etc... recently ive been going over title 22 regs, cdc recommendations, and state surveys. i just think the whole thing is cool now. i never really cared to much about it in the past but school kinda put that spark in me again. thats my expierence anyway, you may find the same to be true for you aswell. give it a chance.
  6. the company i work for starts lvn's at $20/hr, lvn's in managment get $25/hr, rn's at 27.50/hr, & rn's in management get salary pay. not sure what it is. this is in so cal.
  7. As a LVN i guess i did alright last year ending with 52k as my gross annual income. Thats with alot of OT though. Southern California also.
  8. i have not received any notice yet. they said we will hear something by june. ive been checking my school email address couple times a day nevertheless with anticipation.
  9. I just applied yesterday with 65 points. Good luck everyone.
