  1. Nursing cas sent me an email saying that it was en route .
  2. I asked about this last week and heard that only 2 were given and those 2 people were already alerted. Also, on your previous post- that's great to hear! I went and spent some time at the nursing bldg last week and it totally helped me make my final decision that I want to go to yale over Columbia. Everyone I met was so kind and friendly. I'm in new haven on a travel assignment and have heard nothing but good things about the program. Is anyone else going to be here in new haven earlier than august (I think I'll end up extending my contract and staying to get settled before school starts and would love to connect with any fellow students!
  3. Does anyone know why yale dropped out of the top 10 in the US News and World Report rankings? They used to be 7 for MSN programs , and now they're in the 20's.. Thanks so much, DoulaMe. That input helps!
  4. Speaking of decisions... I got into Columbia and yale (as of 30 mins ago!) and can't make up my mind. I visited both the yale campus and the nursing school is completely separate from the rest of the campus, which I didn't love, whereas Columbia is right in there with the medical and public health schools. And I've heard there have been some changes around YSN. Anyone heard about the fact that it's totally separate from yale?
  5. Just started an assignment here- like it a lot so far. Slightly disorganized as far as scheduling but a super nice hospital and great environment.
  6. I'm starting the FNP (for RN's) program in May and wanted to know what you all have heard about workload- I'm trying to decide if I can work 2-3 shifts a week during the program. Anyone heard of anyone doing it?
  7. My company pays for up to $180 for new licenses.
  8. GW just now got my application from nursing cas- I submitted in feb. Wow that took a long time!
  9. Does anyone know how many days we'll be on campus (RNs)- I've gotten conflicting answers but it seems like it's not many. I'm trying to decide if commuting from NJ is feasible.
  10. Wow thanks so much for the curriculum update- those are quite some changes.
  11. Any other RNs out there get into Columbia? Their deposit is due Friday- down to the wire with these late yale decisions.
  12. From MP's email, it sounds like something awful happened yesterday I just REALLY hope they get them out today.
  13. I also had my interview this morning for FNP specialty (just got the invite last week). It was kind of a tough interview for sure. They must do their RN-MSN interviews very differently , since it was definitely nothing like the conversational style that the GEPN interviewees wrote about. I honestly have no idea how I did- eek! Does anyone know when RN decisions are coming out?
  14. Found out this morning that I got in for FNP! Yay!!! Now the mad scramble of finding a job out there so I can move! May seems so soon!
  15. Anyone else awaiting decisions from Columbia for the MSN program for RN's (not the direct entry)?! I applied for the FNP program, and the waiting is getting harder and harder! Has anyone heard how or when decisions will come out?
  16. Just got an email saying applications were forwarded to the Faculty Admission Committee! Has anyone had a chance to go to an info session or visit? I'm just looking for more info about the schedule and any tidbits that other people have learned since I'm far away.
  17. Does anyone else have any tips about the interview? I'd also love to hear any I info you learned that made YSN stand out to you! (I'm applying as an RN so our interviews aren't until later) Thanks!
  18. Hi cthomson, thanks for clarifying that! I am applying to the FNP program starting in August (I'm already an RN). Can you tell me a little about what you've thought of the program so far, as far as how organized they are, quality of the education, etc (anything else you can think of that might be helpful)?! Thanks so much!
  19. Applying for the msn for RN fnp track ! Does anyone know how many RN's there are in each group? Sounds like each cohort is made up of predominantly gepn students?
  20. 2015, Glad you had such a good experience! I'm in the process of applying for the next cohort of FNP's right now. Would you mind telling us what part of the country you're in that you've gotten such impressive job offers? How much of those offers do you think are due to being a GU grad versus just an impressive person from any school? Thanks!
  21. Yep I'm in the process of getting everything in on my fall 2015 application right now! Have you applied yet, Momma1RN?
  22. Secajones, Yep I'm applying to the msn-FNP program. The admission office told me they usually have decisions in March-can't wait to hear!
  23. [COLOR=#003366]Jannelleh1222, thanks for the info! How many people are in your FNP cohort? Also, can you tell me a little about what the schedule has been like for you- how many days a week you are on campus. (I am wondering if it's possible to commute from farther away). Thanks!
  24. Thanks LKWalters22, that's really helpful! Can I ask what you're experience has been as far as the organization and quality of GW faculty and staff. I haven't been super impressed by the people I've had contact with so far in the application process, but I'm wondering if it's better once one is actually in the program. How has your experience been so far? Thanks again!
  25. Does anyone heard of experiences of students living farther away from the DC area? I've heard some horror stories of students from other online programs having to delay their program due to being unable to find clinicals...
