  1. I am also a nurse on a med-surg floor and have anxiety about this too! My hospital is not even using N95s, we are treating these patients on droplet precautions. And I have a one year old at home and am also terrified to bring this virus home.
  2. Thanks for the response guys. Also, in my state we are running out of testing kits so we won’t even be testing all presumed cases unless we really need to (immunocompromised, underlying conditions, etc.) so that will definitely put us more at risk unfortunately because we will have patients that we will be caring for and won’t know if they have covid or not.
  3. Hey guys! So I haven’t posted on this site in a long time, I am now an RN... So it was put out today that in our hospital that we will be treating covi-19 patients on droplet precautions, not airborne. Are other hospitals doing this in other states? Kinda freaking out about treating these patient on droplet precautions only.
  4. Uhhh guys, what email? I never received an email?
  5. UHHHHH guys, what email?? I never received an email.
  6. I feel like they are really unorganized.
  7. Guys I got my letter! Got accepted!!! I'm so happy and congrats to all of you as well!
  8. Lol! Easy for you to say ... I am the one who called and was told the cutoff but I am nervous since I didn't receive my letter yesterday. Hoping to receive a letter today!
  9. Thank you! I hope I get it tomorrow.
  10. Hey guys, did the letter happen to say what the cutoff was? I'm freaking out over here!
  11. I didn't get a letter! And I live in the city
  12. Mail hasn't came by for me yet
  13. Do you guys know what the program looks like once you're accepted? As far as like times and days?
  14. Lol! I wish! I hope it won't take more than like 3 days.
  15. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the letter assuming we all live in the city? lol I hope we get it by Friday!!
  16. Okay guys so I called...They said they were sent out this morning and I asked about the cutoff and she put me on hold for like 5 minutes. When she came back on the line she said 68?!!! So if anyone got above that you should be good to go. I am not getting my hopes up too high just yet. I just want to see the acceptance letter in my hands lol but yea she said 68 was the cutoff.
  17. Has anyone called?
  18. Oh ok but I'm pretty sure they have not because the person I spoke to at the Health Sciences Department sounded like she knew what she was talking about lol I asked her what the cutoff was but she said to call back on Wednesday after they have been sent out and ask again.
  19. Did you speak to Gaytra? I have called her for several days now and she has yet to pick up her phone I called the Health Sciences Department instead and I was told they won't be sent out until next week.
  20. I just called and they said they should be sent out by next Tuesday or Wednesday.
  21. You should try calling too! lol I don't understand why she hasn't picked up her phone in three days. Maybe she is on vacation or something
  22. I've called the advisor multiple times a day for the past three days to ask her if the letters have been sent out and to see if she can tell me what the cutoff was but no answer every time.
  23. How many points would I need to be competitive? Thanks!
  24. Hey guys, wanted to share. When I went to the nursing lab tour, we were told that whoever had all their immunizations and other requirements done by orientation, had first pick at clinical locations(I think she might have said locations, not 100%) but for sure days and times. Sooo if any of you want to have first dibs, I suggest having all that taken care of by orientation.
  25. I called them this morning and they said that she is STILL working on them. She said that hopefully we will receive the emails on Monday but that anytime next week we will be getting them.
