How do you stay organized?
I'm just wondering how everyone keeps organized with classwork, assignments, and everyday errands. I've always depended on my iPad/iPhone/Macbook calendar, but I don't feel like it's really working out as well as I want to with my new routine. I don't feel as organized as I usually do. I'm looking into purchasing one of those "life planners." I would just like to see how everyone keeps up on the daily and if you have any suggestions in terms of planners and such. Thanks! :)

ADN or non-nursing degree Accelerated BSN Program
ShondaJ...thanks for your input! I'm not sure what the market is really like out there when it comes to BSN and ADN. I definitely need some insight on what kind of job market to expect. Thanks again!

ADN or non-nursing degree Accelerated BSN Program
Hi auchiepie...Thank you for your input. Patience, patience...I think that's what I have to keep reminding myself LOL. I was really surprised to learn that I only needed one class to qualify for an ADN program and I got too excited about it.

ADN or non-nursing degree Accelerated BSN Program
Hello :) I'm wondering if anyone is currently going through, have been through, or know someone who has been through an accelerated BSN program. I have an undergrad in a non-nursing field, but instead of going to grad school, I decided to pursue nursing. I just started working on my pre-reqs hoping to eventually get into a nursing program. I'm undecided on whether to do an accelerated BSN or a tradition ADN program (which I only need A&P since I already have other credits). I want to know if it's overwhelming, how you enjoyed/hated it. I also want to know how prepared you felt after nursing school. Any feedback on how people feel about the accelerated BSN programs or which route you think is better will be greatly appreciated...thanks!

Is nursing the best career to choose ?
Hello! I'm absolutely new and I am taking pre-nursing classes to eventually get into a program. I actually have an undergrad in a different field---social work/family services, but decided to go start over on a new career instead of going to grad school. It was a decision that took months (okay, almost a year) to formulate. I decided that I want to do nursing because (1) like social work, it is in a helping field, (2) talking to a sexual assault nurse examiner really pushed my decision. I also feel that nursing will allot more opportunities and flexibility than my current field. As far as crazy schedules/shifts, I have experience working those in the past. Overall, I think that every job has its ups and downs. As an individual, I believe that you should look into why you want to pursue nursing and be aware and realistic of what you're getting into :)
