My goodness!! How did you do that?? I would love to try but the school said we will not have any free time for/to work, that we will be swamped completely.. Even part time.. So the load is actually doable? To work and school at the same time?

Thank you! I appreciate your responses.. It makes me feel better.. It just the "WHAT IFs" that scare me.. Investing a few years of not working and trying to find a job as a new grad afterwords, having a family to feed in the meanwhile and being a 40 y/old - that what bugs me... VS the "warmth" of the paycheck in my pocket right now... Anyway, I realize that in the long run nursing is a better choice.. I guess I just need to close my eyes and "jump off the cliff".

Hi all! I am lost and need an advice. My family refuses to influence my decision under any condition, therefore, no advice from them. Here is my little cry story: I got accepted into a nursing school recently.. 2 years of preparation, blah, blah... but for the last 6 years I've worked for a furniture retailer.. making an alright ($17.50/hour) money.. Right when I am about to give my two weeks notice, my manager approaches me with a proposition of a management position within 6-8 month .. It means that my income will go up by $5 - $7/hour.. I am lost! Should I stay in retail or should I go with the school!? I've been torturing myself for the last 2 weeks and yet, absolutely indecisive... If you have any thoughts or opinions please share! Thank you!

Yeap, same here... We are good though, still have plenty of time till Dec 1.

@ikegrad2002. It's a good plan! The best of luck! Thank you for the info about new grads jobs. I was researching a lot lately and get all kinds of results... Most of them are negative... It is frustrating...

@ikegrad2002. Are you going for BSN right away or going to find a job first? I've heard it is extremely difficult to land a job for new ADN grads...

@Downo. My friend got accepted for fall 2014 at CF with 11.34... She says that "that lady" told during orientation that it was 11.00...

Actually just clarified the cut off for fall 2014 for Cyfair was 11.00

Hi! I just applied to Cy-fair with 11.57.. Good luck everyone! P.S. I have a friend that applied last semester to CF... They were getting people with 11.2 in.. And looks like there is not alot of applicants this sem. So we all should be just fine..
