  1. I've negotiated a group discount for the Live Fitzgerald NP Boards Review Prep, and they said that it is not restricted to just the school. I wanted to pass this along since we are all broke students! In order to secure their seats we will need to register using the link:https://www.fhea.com/store/GrpRetailSplash.aspx?id=193002E668. Initially, we will not be charged to register. Our accounts will not be charged until the deadline of 3/6/20. If group does not meet the minimum of 10 participants, our accounts will be charged the early bird rate. More information is available on the registration page. Note that PNP is only offered online this year. You can register for ANY of the national reviews and still qualify for the group discount once we have 10+ people to sign up. The Fitzgerald NP Review passing rate is over 99%. Fitzgerald’s goal is to make sure everyone passes the first time, which is why the Fitzgerald Review has helped more than 110,000 NPs achieve certification by offering the most comprehensive review course available. Fitzgerald is committed to your success. However, if you fail, Fitzgerald is the only review that will conduct a detailed analysis of your exam results and schedule a free 1.5 hour online remediation with you. 2020 Live Courses – Group Discount Registration Pricing FNP ACNP Standard Rate: $626 Discount rate for Registration received by 2 Month Deadline (3/6/20) Group Size 10-29 = $460.80Group Size 30-49 = $432Group Size 50+ = $403.20AGNP PMHNP Standard Rate: $559 Discount rate for Registration received by 2 Month Deadline (3/6/20) Group Size 10-29 = $407.20Group Size 30-49 = $381.75Group Size 50+ = $356.30ENP Standard Rate: $674 Discount rate for Registration received by 2 Month Deadline (3/6/20) Group Size 10-29 = $519.20 Group Size 30-49 = $486.35 Group Size 50+ = $454.30
  2. Yes! Thank you for posting this. I've been told by older nurses who aren't NPs that I need nursing experience. And by NPs that I don't. Good to know that you don't need RN experience to be hired as a primary care FNP!
  3. Does each unit do hiring and orientation at different dates? Or is there a set hiring and training cycle for new grads across the entire hospital?
  4. Hello! My roommates and I found a place near the shuttle. We are looking to rent out the living room for very cheap. We are looking for those in the MEN program since we plan to live there for the entire program. Please PM me if you're interested!
  5. ^ I wouldnt suggest downtown. The nice areas are really expensive, with 2 bedrooms ranging from $2000-$4000 a month. It is minutes away from skid row and it isn't somewhere I'd feel safe walking at night. Also parking is minimal all around. Great place to go bar hopping though! I would avoid east LA. Again, look at Alhambra! Monterey Park. San Gabriel. Rosemead. To those on the wait list, I've turned down my spot at csula sadly
  6. Hi everyone! I went to high school a rock's throw from csula and live around the area so feel free to PM me about where to live etc. I actually recommend living in Alhambra. Supermarkets and food in the 626 are VERY cheap and there is great Mexican food in East LA and very authentic and amazing Asian food everywhere. Pasadena itself is expensive and parking is pricey and inconvenient. Alhambra is probably a 5-10 min drive to csula! But relatively, San Gabriel valley is pretty condensed. Nothing is more than half an hour away if it is along the freeway :)
  7. ^email her
  8. She called me back and said we would need to make a decision by next Monday. There is no deposit $$ to submit- just a decision. I'm still debating between this and JHU so I gotta think long and hard. Ah!!! So happy though!
  9. I called the number back and it is the general csula number. Darn! I didn't get a message!!
  10. Ah! I think I just missed a call from them. I can't call until after work. Did she leave a voicemail @jackbandit?
  11. Whoa. It is happening! When do you have to submit the deposit? And was it from a 323 number?
  12. I'm going to give up my spot! I got into one of my top choice programs and was holding out for western in case it would give some sort of scholarship.
  13. I had the first interview date!
  14. I just got my acceptance email! It says we would have to pay the $500 deposit by April 3. There's no mention on scholarships.
  15. Yeahh seems like only those Early Admissions Day attendees heard back about being accepted, and then others heard about being rejected..
  16. Are we expecting a phone call or email??
  17. @jess674 are you in the absn program? And I called fin aid and graduate programs don't have any need-based scholarships or grants.
  18. Hi all- I got my financial aid packet today through ISIS and it was very disappointing. It was all loans and a minimal (1%) amount in work-study. Was yours similar?
  19. Thank you for answering my questions. I did read through the 40 page packet, but wanted to get further clarification on the points I was unclear about. I understand that this is a huge commitment and that is why I'm making sure I understand everything before applying. And no, I cannot go to my pre-req and undergrad schools to ask them to compile all the GPAs as I took my prereqs at 4 different schools. I also don't live near the schools anymore, so I will do this myself.
  20. Hello, I am entering a nursing grad program in the fall and have questions about the HRSA app. I took all my prereqs after graduating undergrad and got a 4.0 on those. What do I put as my cumulative GPA? And for the scholarship, how much do they usually give out? The entire tuition an applicant requests? Or maybe just $1000 a semester? And even if you get a $1000, are you still required to work the same amt of time as those who get their full tuition covered? Thanks!
  21. St. Francis medical center is one site but the hospital is going through a buyout so idk if they'll still go there.
  22. just email, then a mailed packet a week after.
  23. Hello everyone. I talked to the director of admissions of the Master Entry program and she said the class is going to be 120 people. There's only 15 or so people in our FB group so I feel that acceptances are still going out! We have until May 1 to deposit the $500 and thats a super long time for now! So don't freak out too much :)
  24. Thanks badabing! I am wait listed for FNP as well and didn't interview o.O. maybe we are wait listed for an interview haha
