@AspiringRNmama can you please share what state is allowing you to take?? I'm in the same boat and I was going to start to call around different states as I saw in FL you cannot after 3 yrs or so it says online I have to call the boards to check. But if you could sooo kindly let me know it would avoid having to call several states. I don't want to give up!!

Hello elkpark thanks for the info. I called the Florida board of nursing and they don't have a limit, they only require that I do a review prep course in learningext and then I could take test. I thought it didn't matter where you do your license,I thought once you had it you can switch and renew in another state. I will be here for a few yrs. I guess I'm going to have to look up about signing up for the att. Do I have to have a fl drivers license?? I now have a tn license, I wonder if that matters ...

Hello MrChicagoRN thank you for the advice. I was thinking of taking one, as well as looking into a clinical refresher. It's just when I was asking, the lady helping me out kept saying the limit is 3 yrs and I would have to go back to school. Thinking of doing it all over again wasn't something I. Was happy about. Any suggestions in studying material?? I read many blogs say kaplan, saunders, hurst??

Hello, I have some questions in regards to the nclex and hoping some of ya'll can she'd some light on it.. I graduated back in 2006, took the nclex twice, failed both times and decided well maybe it's not for me, and went into another field of work. Now 8 yrs later, Im thinking we'll maybe it was for me I was just maybe bummed about the test, as well as I had felt upon graduating that my experience in clinicals wasn't as great, and hardly had a chance to do simulations at the labs which the school now offers/requires of every student. So now that I'm thinking of taking the test, I called the boards in TN, which is where I live now (I graduated in FL), and the lady just told me that you only have within 3 yrs of graduating to do it, otherwise you have to go back to school. Is this correct?? I asked her, If I would have to do the program again?? To which she said about having to go back to the Dean for them to sign and see about what I'm lacking. Is this true for all states?? I had read in a few blogs where people passed after a few yrs, and I guess I didn't think that there was a time limit. I would greatly appreciate ya'lls feedback..
